Happy endings that aren't happy the moment you think about them - Happily ever after...or is it? Deconstruct the shit out of happy endings in media.

Wall-E is very similar to this too. Sure, all the humans are 'free' now and are back on Earth instead of being trapped on the ship, drifting in space for further centuries, but they have essentially been living in a sanitized, protected bubble the whole time. I guarantee 90% of them (or more, given how their very genetics have changed) would die to diseases/pollution as soon as they attempted life outside of the ship environment, especially given how Earth is still a polluted wasteland for the vast majority of its surface.
The robots could help, but that would require the humans to stay on the grounded ship in a forced quarantine until the later generations born could adapt to the changes better, which I doubt would go down well, given their newfound freedoms.
They still have medical facilities on ship and ensemble of robots. Besides, slideshow behind final credits showed that humanity managed to recolonize Earth back.

As you noted the movie V is not an anarchist, he's more a general freedom fighter. The movie V should have wanted Parliament to be restored to its former glory. If I remember correctly the movie V even says something like "The future will be decided by the next generation." or some cucked shit.
Snyder is pretty incapable of deep messages. That said, he makes visually appealing films.

In both film and book, though, V is at best an antihero and really more of a villain protagonist when you look at the fucked up shit he does to Evey and others (he's much more overtly sadistic in the book).

The Mist. While the main character no longer has to deal with his annoying family nor the public school teacher whom he killed there are giant maneating spiders.

Snyder didn’t make V for Vendetta. It was an Aussie who works with the Matrix troons.

@AnOminous

Does Moore still have the rights to all the Watchmen characters? HBO made a gay sequel to Watchmen about racism and niggers using Doctor Manhattan a couple years back. I think DC uses Doc Manhattan in their current comics too.

Thanks for nothing that. Apparently James McTeigue (and his first). I guess I fucked up because Zack did Watchmen and the movies are pretty visually similar (and I think actually do a good job capturing the visual aesthetic of the graphic novels).

And looking at it, while Moore USED to give his share of the adaptation royalties to his co-creators until recently, he recently stopped because he's buttmad at them about something (probably his cockamamie politics) and now donates it to BLM (sigh), hilariously one of the prime examples of American libshittery.

Look at him. Look at him and laugh.

At least if you're going to criticize the guy have your facts straight.

In the script for the film they were going to have two trucks pass by him right after he offed his family. First truck would have the woman who fled early in the film to rescue her children whom were alone. Second truck would have the rest of the survivors of the grocery store go by and see that he shot and killed his family and friends. And that the crazy doomsday woman was right that they all should have stayed in the store. But the actors and actresses from the grocery store scenes wrapped filming and left and they didn't want to pay to get them all back just to shoot a ten second scene.

If he was repeatedly publicly claiming to have given Dave Gibbons and David Lloyd all this money why wouldn't they call him out on it?

Also I can admire someone's principles but not their politics. Anyway he hasn't been a generic commie since at least 1990. He's now some bizarre form of anarchist that only he is.

Oh I know the credits showed them all recolonizing, but it took a very short space of time, and everyone was able to suddenly get up and walk etc in the polluted atmosphere just fine, when it would have taken decades or more to even be able to get people up and walking properly like they showed (since again, their very genetics had changed anatomy etc wise). All comes down to it being a feel-good kids movie over a realistic adult apocalypse one.

Depends on the movie or the book. In the movie, all the mist is gone (through unknown means, you see the people walking around cleaning up etc, but never implied if the mist just travels or humanity somehow worked out how to get rid of it), so he would just be without the family and no giant spiders.
In the book, he doesn't kill anyone and they just drive off into the mist, which hasn't vanished, and it ends there with no knowledge of what becomes of them/if they will actually survive or find safety.

I think it took decades or at least a century and a half. Gradually readapting to gravity, clearing the garbage and living in cleared up spaces by robots that left behind to clean the Earth

Honestly, as much as I respect Alan Moore, I really don't take most of his statements at face value. He's claimed for years that Rorschach was supposed to be a gross loser and that when people say they look up to him, they're stupid. But in the comic itself, it always seemed pretty obvious to me that Rorschach's insistence that they tell the world the truth about Ozymandias' fuckery was pretty clearly supposed to be taken as honorable while Dr. Manhattan was further giving up his humanity by lying for the greater good.

The thing is they're both true. He has terrible personal hygiene and spends most of his time being a homeless looking sign carrying crazy prophet. He hates the human race (and has good reasons for it) but hates criminal scum even more. He's still the only actual hero in a book full of despicable people or at best well intentioned normies (like Silk Specter and Nite Owl).

He's sort of a more complex Punisher, in that he's an extremely fucked up dude who has experienes that would turn a lesser man into a serial killer, but he chose to be a crime fighter, and (most of) his kills improve the world by getting rid of absolute scum (throwing Captain Carnage down the elevator shaft was a bit excessive).

I'm not sure how that's an example of Moore lying, though. He's a grumpy weirdo who doesn't like that someone doesn't see his character for what he wanted. After all, however he ended, Rorschach was portrayed as basically batshit crazy from the beginning.

I don't think Moore ever lies, I just think he intentionally acts like a very curmudgeonly old man. So when he talks about weirdos coming up to him saying that Rorschach is their hero he goes out of his way to insult the character and say he deliberately wrote him as someone you shouldn't look up to which I don't think is entirely true either. Sometimes it feels like he's intentionally trolling is what I'm getting at, and that's why I don't always take what he says seriously.

As seen in What if "Independence Day" Happened? (Realistic Aftermath) by AlternateHistoryHub, a realistic outcome of the scenario of the ID4 movie wouldn't be so pleasant.

/watch?v=YkFLpMkADnA (tl;dw: civilization would most likely collapse because of all the destruction)
Lets look at the early life of that (((channel))) because a world without trade based in capital cities sounds wholesome.

The point of Rorschach is a Take That to Steve Ditko Objectivist heroes. Alan Moore expected the readers to scoff at the character for how barbaric it is and how it appeals to base urges. Issue is that superheroes who murder pedos and don't go along with elitist conspiracies are outright heroic for more sane people.

Portal 2 - GLaDOS frees Chell from the Aperture facility at the end of the game. But what happens to her now that she’s been kicked out into the middle of nowhere? how is Chell going to survive the outside world?

Since Chell executes orders given by GLaDOS and Wheatley, she understands language, even though she doesn't speak. She understands the concept of finishing a level and the underlying physics of the portal gun, funnels, gels, etc. I am not sure if she deliberately refuses to speak (e.g. to gain a little bit of control in her situation) or she's lost the ability or never learned how to speak.
My guess is that she had a "normal" life in the facility before she was placed in the extended relaxation vault. Judging by the science fair - the place with the overgrown potaoes, maybe Aperture replicated a realistic school environment.
The final cutscene of the wheat field doesn't show where she is. In my opinion her survivability highly depends how close she is to a road or a village. Also her health - "age", hunger, thirst, injuries, ability to breathe earth air plays a role.
I don't know the entirety of the Portal lore, those are things that I've noticed while playing.

If she's close to society - high chance of survival, if she's far away - probably slow death caused by dehydration, overheating or starvation 🙁.

You have to realize that all of the heroes that Moore writes that he wants you to admire are huge fucking losers and always go through some gay angsty subplot of losing their humanity right? Miracle Man, Swamp Thing, and Dr. Manhattan all go through this.

Him not receiving his royalties is literally him copying Ditko. There’s more evidence that he stopped going to ComicCons because someone pointed this out to him at one. Ditko was a crazy motherfucker, but he had conviction and never got cucked three times like Moore did.
