I know some people think this is 5D chess and that Summer is an actress, but I would be shocked if Summer was faking a mental breakdown.
I think the explanation is that....
(1) Summer is unstable, clearly has an eating disorder, and, according to her statements to Sam during the show, on hydroxyzine (a 1st gen antihistamine) for anxiety,
(2) the production crew was fucking with her along with everyone else,
(3) a bug (flu/covid) was going around the fish house (Tay had a fever, Jimmy was really sick) and Summer probably caught it first (she mentions testing positive for covid at the hospital in the voicemails), and
(4) because of being sick, crazy, and gaslit by production, Summer had become delusional, thinking everyone was fake and out to get her, so production sent her to a hospital because they thought she was a legal risk.
If any of you have ever dated a crazy girl you'll immediately recognize these voice messages are legit, that she's nuts (and highly manipulative), and that she's calling from a hospital. You can hear people walking around in the background and hospital staff chattering.
At the end at around 43m40s, you hear a voicemail message from an energy company lady with a Long Island / New Jersey accent discussing a heating oil delivery, from Vaughn Heating Oil company to "Abbot Valley View Drive.".
This is the fish house - the same address that got leaked earlier in the season ( 10 Abbott Valley View Drive, Cumberland, RI, 02864 )
In the northeast US, it's common to have a heating oil tank that needs to be refilled every month or two. The supply companies are constantly trying to top off your tank. Vaughn Heating is 13 minutes away from the fish house.
Taken together, I think that validates the messages (which would have had to have been leaked by a member of the production crew.)

100%. Why else would it have had censored addresses? If Jet’s phone was actually hacked whoever did it would have released something far more embarrassing than just summer voice mails. If it was someone malicious they certainly wouldn’t have censored addresses. Since Summer’s breakdown was one of the most interesting parts of the show he probably leaked it to drum up even more attention to the show.

Jet most likely released these proactively knowing Summer is about to do something retarded like accuse him of rape. Anyone, and I mean absolutely anyone, who listens to more than a minute of those voicemails and thinks she's salvageable is a bad person.
Many times during season 1 I thought there was some plan happening and all the blunders were leading up to a big punchline twist reveal but it never was. Season 2 is the same thing.

Genuinely sad to see someone struggle with profound mental illness like this. Constant delusional thinking and psychosis is a horrible way to live. There's really no helping someone like this, she will probably never get anything to stick in therapy. You either medicate them to human husk or they remain perpetually unstable and unsafe. Hope someday she finds something to make life easier for her.
