What is the target demographic for this? It's like making a Disney Jr. show based on I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.
lol This reminds me of a canceled attempt to make an aliens vs predator cartoon

It never made it, but comics came out that showed what it would have looked like. Think GI Joe with the cast from Aliens. (yeah they all somehow surivived and pulled a "real ghostbusters")

That would be kind of cool if you were a kid. They'd still have to cut out a lot of the more violent gorey parts but with Aliens being more of an action movie a GI Joe style cartoon would definitely have an audience for older but still young kids. It would make more sense and have more of an audience than a book aimed at 4-6 year olds.

HEY DO YOU LIKE CATS? WE LIKE CATS TOO! BUY OUR PRODUCT BECAUSE IT HAS CATS ON IT.

Total Cat Lover Death. Dog Enjoyer Supermacy.
As a cat enjoyer, just let my state that I also find this fake and VERY gay.

I'd kill to see that pitch.

Well, it was an artform in the 90s. Conan, Robocop, Rambo, Mortal Kombat all had kiddified cartoons. So I honestly find it more surprising it didn't come out. Also, it's one thing to grab an action movie (Aliens was a lot more action than horror) and turning it into a kids show by removing the gore and adding some slapstick and a whole other level making a horror film into a cutesy book for cat ladies and faggots (because we all know little becky and little timmy aren't the intended demographic).

Everything had a cartoon in the 80's/90's. I mean there was one for Raisins... fucking raisins! I remember "The New Kids On The Block" had a cartoon.

Yep, I remember those
It was an outgrowth of the California Raisins commercials put on by the California Raisin Advisory Board.
Commercial:
And there was also the one with Mr T and a team of young gymnasts.
It was about marketing back then. Why we had a cartoon based on Rubik's Cubes.
... now this? This I don't remember but the cube goblin thing did give me a bit of memory whiplash right now. I do kind of miss all of this schlock.

Recently discovered James and the Giant Peach. It's got a quality soundtrack and some very charming practical effects work that has aged magnificently. It came out in 1996, so a few years before the current commie propaganda age really kicked off, and before CGI usage became a horrid and unaesthetic industry crutch. Any CGI used is to augment the practical/stop-motion effects already present.

If you're a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas you should immediately recognize and enjoy the visuals.

There's even a full on cameo of Jack Skellington, pretty sure the same people made it too.

Disney going to make the live action aliens vs predator movies and alien prequels look good. Alien Disney plus will be MCU bad.

I honestly cannot mock them too much since we have a similar A-Z book for the Cthullu Mythos and a number of YA books in the Warhammer and Warhammer 40K settings. To say nothing of the many Alien (and Termintor and Jurassic Park) toys aimed at children.
