Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Nature is healing.

"Here you have in its natural habitat a Bradley Fighting Vehicle, it has come upon it's natural prey the Russian BMP. Nature follows its course and the Bradley ambushes the BMP with relative ease and feasts upon the inferior machinery and the gooey innards of the Russian crew manning it. Having consumed the BMP it will return back to base for debrief and return to action promptly, finding the fields of Ukraine to be prime hunting ground for its primary food source."

Are we sure those explosions are from himars not just someone turning it on?
Just feel up Putin's nipples and tell me that he isn't turned on by people he sends to slaughter to HIMARS, ATACMS, Cluster bombs, mines and napalm

I think he has a vendetta against gopniks who bullied him and developed a complex.

A 1K148 Yastreb-AV radar complex has been destroyed hours after its debut, by two HIMARS (the first one might be an Excalibur round) shots:

Rather amusing how Ukraine is constantly shredding all of Russias fancy new toys, but Russia can't seem to do the same with Ukraines wunderwaffle
Another Zoopark-1M has decided to join it, apparently sometime in December 2023:

230 Ukrainian POWs are now home!
Ukraine and Russia have announced the largest exchange of prisoners since the start of the war, involving the return of more than 200 soldiers from each side in a deal mediated by the United Arab Emirates.

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said on Wednesday in a message on social media, along with images of some of the freed PoWs: “230 of our people. Today, 213 soldiers and sergeants, 11 officers, and six civilians returned home.”

Zelenskiy said some of the returned soldiers had “fought in Mariupol and Azovstal”, referring to the siege of the Azovstal steel plant during the Ukrainian defence of Mariupol, a southern Ukrainian port city now occupied by Russia.

Amongst the dead of a recent Russian meat-wave assault down in Zaporozhye, a woman is found:

Apparently (as reported back in March), Russia has been recruiting from women's prisons into Storm-Z units, ostensibly for "non-combat" support roles.
Russia is sending female prison inmates to work in occupied regions of eastern Ukraine, a Russian rights activist said.

The comments on March 13 by Olga Romanova, the head of a Russian prisoner advocacy organization, corroborate other reports from Ukrainian military officials who have also reported female inmates showing up in parts of Ukraine.

The Russian government has not commented on the reports.

The use of prison convicts by Russia in its invasion of Ukraine -- now in its 13th month -- has been well-documented. Many of the soldiers fighting for the Wagner private mercenary company are inmates who were offered amnesty or reduced sentences in exchange for agreeing to fight in Ukraine.

Wagner says it stopped recruiting inmates last month, while the Defense Ministry has itself reportedly begun its own recruiting campaign in Russian prisons.

But the extent to which female inmates were being sent to Ukraine is still unclear, and what exactly they are being sent to do.

On March 13, Ukraine’s General Staff said in its daily update that a train with prison inmates had been spotted in the Donetsk region. One of the train cars was designated for women, it said.

In comments to the investigative news site IStories, Romanova said she heard about such measures late last year, with female inmates being taken from prison facilities in southern Russia. About 100 women in all were sent to Ukraine, she was quoted as saying.

Romanova earlier said that the Russian Defense Ministry's recruiting of inmates was taking place in at least two prison facilities – in the central Volgograd and southern Kemerovo regions. It’s unclear if those inmates are mainly men or include some women.

In December, Wagner’s founder, Yevgeny Prigozhin, released a letter addressed to him from a regional lawmaker in the central Sverdlovsk region. The lawmaker said a group of female inmates had asked to be sent to Ukraine to work as medics or signal workers -- for trains or other needs.

The letter has not been confirmed.

Western officials have said that the Wagner Group has used prison inmates in its ongoing campaign to take the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.

Ukrainian soldiers have reported encountering waves of head-on infantry assaults on their positions, and Western officials have said tens of thousands of prison inmates may have been killed in the Russian effort.

Edit: not long ago there was an immediate aftermath video of a Russian grenade-induced smoking accident, inside a bunker somewhere near Donetsk front lines with 5-6 occupants. Along with the cameraman & commander as he berates the dead & wounded while they're being triaged, there was also a Russian female nurse/medic. IIRC the above video is only the third I've seen with Russian women actively serving in the SMO, outside of volunteer & propaganda capacities.

In reheated stupid news, Dave Collum, a Professor of Chemistry at Cornell released his "Year in Review" blog post. He's been blogging since the early internet and suffers from a severe case of unwarranted self importance.

Why bring this up? There is a long section on Ukraine with some especially mock-able takes. It kind of a greatest hits of dumb shit you'd believe as a motivated thinker. Figured I could go through some of it and share the silliness.

I imagine that if the enemies were different Dave would not have an issue with Ladybug Graham's language; "The Nazis are dying, it's the best money we ever spent." But this is the less interesting part of the paragraph, better is the list of "serious thinkers", including luminaries such as Colonel MacGregor and convicted sex pest Scott Ritter. I'm glad he's takes things so seriously that he found all the deep thunks that agreed with him already. Glenn Greenwald is reflexively against the United States Government. Tulsi Gabbard is eking out a media career around being anti war. Tucker Carlson is an explicitly partisan media pundit. John Mearsheimer I'll go on about later. Donald Trump plays both sides. RFK Jr. thinks the CIA killed his father, why would you listen to his opinion without that massive proviso? Cornel West is a black communist race grifter. The other names look familiar but I'm not hunting them all down.

Wow guys, I found a corrupt European leader that agrees with me. Can you believe that he's able to leverage votes on security policy to extract bribes from Western Europe? Such a brave stand. Truly the man to lead the way forward. You dumb peasants just don't understand the politics at play.

Like, America did bad things guyz! How can you say invading a country is bad when someone else does it after America did it!?

And imagine conflating terrorist groups operating freely in a nation needing to be dealt with to actually bombing a nation-state? I somehow doubt Syria had major issues with the size of the aerial campaign against ISIS. Same can be said with Iraq and recognized governments in other states, Libya, Yemen, etc. Additionally conflating fifth order effects of American foreign policy as direct actions taken. The paper cited. Looking through the paper it came to the 4.5 million number by taking direct deaths and multiplying by four. Wow, much scholarship, such methods. I also question the direct deaths number, it's large enough to just have scooped up every death that might be contributed as happening earlier than otherwise, which would be over inclusive.

How many of these indirect deaths occurred after the Arab Spring I wonder. You know, the international food riots that toppled multiple governments and clusterfucked the economies of the area? Where do they get grain again? Oh, right, Ukriane, and Russia is playing fuck fuck games with grain shipments. Who bears the responsibility there? I'm sure it was NATO, somehow.

Afghanistan was a shit hole before the Americans and will be afterwards. That it will take "40 years" to recover makes no sense as there is nothing to recover.

This letter is written by a bunch of retired Cold Warriors and diplomats, So the exact people that advocate for Strategic Realism, the same as Mearsheimer. He's repeating the same academic tradition and acting like it's some big consensus of people coming from different directions. The fundamental issue is that the Russian Federation isn't the Soviet Union, and the Cold War is decades dead. Russia is not entitled to a sphere of influence. Neither is the United States. Hence why the US didn't use the recent scuffle around Essequibo to yeet a JDAM into Maduro's mustache. The United States is dealing with Venezuela on the terms agreed to by both sides. Not just the United States' position.

Continuing the letter, there is much moral posturing around "War is bad". Well, no shit, but is in the evaluation of options. Stop war now >> Resurgent and rebuilt Russian military will attack again unless massive concessions are made. Continue war now >> death and destruction right now to force a different negotiating posture. Sucks? Yes! No shit!

Collums is also a complete nigger as he doesn't link the letter, he links a summary written by a third party. Seeing how he's a published academic, one would have thought he could figured out how to properly cite things.

I imagine that if the enemies were different Dave would not have an issue with Ladybug Graham's language; "The Nazis are dying, it's the best money we ever spent."
It's worse than that, though. The Lindsey Graham quote that Dave puts at the top of his essay is a fraud which won't go away. Tucker Carlson made it the centerpiece of his first episode on Xitter. But it's two sentences from different parts of the conversation spliced together.

Here's the discussion's greater context (I posted this upthread but it was a long time ago so I think it's okay to repeat):

At 0:34, he says "It's the best money we've ever spent" when discussing American support. At 1:20, in a different context (discussing the phrase "live free or die") he says "and the Russians are dying."

These two lines were then cut together, not even in the right order, to make Lady Graham and Zelensky sound like bloodthirsty death eaters.

This war is quickly reaching dystopia levels, should make anyone sane sick to the stomach.
I hope Putin sees Ghaddafi's fate for his decision to start all this, hopefully at the hand of all the angry Russian mothers and sisters that lost their men in this pointless cretinism.

I tortured myself by reading further into that Dave Collum column (heh), and it is a nonstop parade of every false and misleading zigger talking point, along with some novel whoppers.

The Ukrainian-to-Russian kill ratio was estimated by guys like Colonel MacGregor (no doubt from Pentagon sources) as well as by the Israelis (who have great intelligence) at 6–10:1.
Ah yes, that credible source Douglas Macgregor, who has been saying Ukraine is weeks away from total defeat since the start of the war. Why is anyone still listening to him? And if you're going to make up a fake kill ratio, at least make it slightly believable.

By the end of 2023, the Ukrainian draft had been expanded to include both genders and ages 7–70.
Somehow I think we would notice if drafted 7-year-old children were fighting on the front lines. How stupid does Dave think his readers are?

Drafting women into non-combat roles (medics, administrators, etc.) is being considered, but it hasn't happened and Zelensky has opposed it.

Hersh suggests the Ukrainians have been using foreign aid on luxury cars and ostentatious lifestyles.
Dave cites Hersh a lot. This sentence is a rehash of the notion that aid to Ukraine consists of delivering pallets of cash to Zelensky and telling him to use it as he thinks best.

Dave also has a section on Prigozhin, hinting at the conspiracy theory that he planned a fake coup with Putin for... some reason (possibly surreptitiously moving troops closer to Kyiv, as if that makes any sense).

I've been sperging long enough, so I'll end with yet another recycled quote taken out of context. The footnote links to this tweet, which has a community note correctly explaining that Zelensky is talking about a hypothetical situation where Russia invades a NATO country.

I don't know much about Cornell and only toured the campus once. I hope Dave is not representative of the level of scholarship of their faculty.

this is still my favorite vatnigger copium and it was pretty hilarious to see the Vatnik mods coping by trying to figure this as an 8-D chess play instead of Typical Slav Chimpout- like somehow the CIA glow-sats wouldn't notice a mile-long column of armor. And if the nigga still on with that cope in TYOL 2024, that really ignores that what is left of Wagner is back where they started.

No you see that is clearly a Ukrainian woman put into a russian uniform because Zelensky has sent every person in Ukraine to be killed in Bakhmut and there are no more ukrainians only atheist tranny muslims shipped in by the EU to occupy the country, all they do go clubbing in Kiev and have cross-dressing degen orgies.

Remember, every accusation is a projection. Nobody is contesting the fact that the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian state have massive problems. However, due to ziggers being unrelenting schizos, many are forced to defend something they may not necessarily agree with, since to agree with a schizo take is outright insulting to one's dignity.

Having the unlikable Zionist neocon pajeet making these statements when nobody trusts her outside of a few elites that want dommy multiracial mommy neoliberalism is basically equivalent to willingly discrediting your ideas.
If anyone thinks the GOP cares about Poland, Baltics, Romania etc., they are deluded. The US would rather strategically withdraw from NATO than accept to participate in what will be WW3. And the GOP will celebrate that retreat.
Everyone hates neolibs and neocons. They still cling to power, but in the end they'll die out.
A new system of pragmatic alliances based on something real, like nation states and borders, must happen, cause I assure you all - nobody cares about "defending democracy and liberalism".
Nobody.
