You know who didn't lose weight? Sander! He gained 19 lbs and wrote a whole blog post about it and Why It's A Good Thing.

Redefining Wellness: How to Set Meaningful Health Goals in 2024

👊 I CHALLENGE YOU 👊

In 2023, I gained 19 pounds. The year prior, I had been running a half marathon and lost 15 pounds, so I wasn’t completely surprised when I had gained it back. What did catch me off guard, however, was my response to the number on the scale.
Although the number may have changed, my confidence remained high. With pride, I must’ve told 5 of the closest people in my life about my weight gain. Even though gaining weight was not a goal of mine in 2023, I knew I had been working out hard, eating decently well, and leading a healthy lifestyle. Weight is just a measure, but my mental and physical prowess define my journey.

Embracing Change in the New Year

I share my story because it’s the start of the new year, a time where we all set new goals for how we want our year to go. One of the most common goals we all set is usually related to our physical health. “I want to get in the gym more,” “I want to eat healthier,” “I want to lose 10 pounds.” If you are anything like me, you’ve probably set a similar goal at one time or another. In the past, you may have hit those goals or you may have also started to work toward them and then developed an unhealthy obsession or completely ignored it. Heading into 2024, today I want to share my perspective on goal setting that allows me to overcome the negativity of stepping on the scale.

Setting SMART Goals

At a top level, the goals I set related to my physical health are SMART goals. Read more about SMART goals in my past blog about goal setting. I ensure that the goals I create are not ones that I will fall off on after a vacation or a tough week. In 2023, my goals were not “stay below 170 pounds” but instead, my goals were to “do something active 5 days per week,” “cut out one unhealthy meal per week,” and “play sports at least 2 times per week.” Each of these goals had exact, time-bound numbers that I could track on a weekly basis that I felt would make me feel proud of my physical progress, no matter what the number on the scale would say.

Health Goal Achieved: I’ve been playing tennis 2+ times per week!

If I had just made my goal about a particular weight, then I know I would have just been fixated on a number. I would have consumed myself trying to hit that goal weight but not focused on the journey related to specific actions and stepping stones to get there. Weight is just a measure, but the true power comes from the mental and physical strength you develop from staying active and making progress. It is beneficial to create a top-level goal related to the amount of weight you might want to gain or lose, but it’s just as important to create daily, weekly, and monthly action steps that help you reach those goals. That’s what I do, and it’s what has always kept me proud of my progress.

Embrace Individuality

Another important mindset that helps keep me body positive, and proud of the number on the scale, is not comparing myself to societal standards of shape, size, and beauty. You’re perfect just the way you are—don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Let’s end the standards and start all being more body positive. If you feel good about yourself, it shouldn’t matter what anyone else thinks. If you have some self-doubts, then that’s okay too! I am sometimes insecure about my body and myself, but never because society says I should be. When I have those feelings, I remind myself of my actions and keep working toward my progress!

Spreading Smiles in 2024

With the start of the New Year, it’s time to start spreading more smiles and remain proud of our progress. If you’re going to take anything from this blog and apply it toward your life, it’s that your physical goals go hand in hand with your mental goals. Some days you might wake up feeling on top of the world. Other days you might wake up feeling stiff and sad. To help you feel good about your progress every day, even on your worst days, I challenge you to follow this one goal in 2024:

👊“Whether it’s a walk, a run, bowling, or a full workout, complete a physical activity 5 days a week.”👊

Hold yourself accountable to get up and do some sort of physical activity! The health effects will be extremely beneficial and improve your body positivity. Happy New Year, Everyone! 💪🏽

To be fair to Sander, "play tennis at least 2 times a week" is a lot closer to a SMART target than "remember to leave the house", but this article essentially boils down to "don't worry about losing weight". Also this face is going to haunt me for a while.

A Year of Growth: Unpacking the Top 5 Lessons of 2023

Reflections on 2023!

2023! What a year. My 2023 was full of ups and downs that really helped me gain more clarity on the life I want to lead for myself and my loved ones. Here are 5 applicable life lessons I learned:

1. You can’t always wait until you’re 100% sure

Life is a never-ending cycle of trials and errors. It’s great to stay comfortable and only make decisions you're certain of, but that leaves less room for true growth. This realization alone is completely guiding my life. For one, it helped me finally get a girlfriend after almost 6 years of being single. I realized that I had always wanted to wait until I was so confident the person I would date would be with me forever and always, that I never even gave potential relationships a chance. I was waiting for 100% certainty that would never come without actually taking the step of giving it a chance. Now, 9 months later, I’m in a happy relationship and working towards a future together.

Another big thing I held back on for a while was starting my own business. I always had doubt that I couldn’t do it, and so I never launched my own business. Even after creating my own business plan in 2021, it took me until 2023 to jump into the water and start swimming! I stopped having the fear that held me back, and even though I wasn’t 100% certain this would be the best decision for me, I did it anyway!

2. Failure is success

As part of taking more risks and not always being 100% certain, I experienced more failure than I ever have in my life. I received more “no’s” in one year than in my first 25 years. I had to admit to myself that I wasn’t able to solve everything on my own. Although many of these truths have been tough to swallow, they have made me a much better person. My failures were not truly failures because they allowed me to pivot toward new opportunities and take any lessons learned along the way. If everything you touch turns to gold, then who are you?

3. You’re more capable than you think!

One of my favorite stories of 2023 is my best friend's success in his job. He has been working at a company for a few years, and I remember him sharing that he didn’t really enjoy it all too much. Then, one day, that all changed! After two people left the company, there was a new opportunity to help with coding. My friend never had any experience coding, but he decided to try to step up for the team. Through research and trial and error, he was able to build something that worked! He never thought he was capable of coding, but now it will be an asset for the rest of his career. You never know what you’re capable of until you really set your mind toward something. Keep learning something new every day and see where it might take you.

4. Don’t take it personally - Most people will always do what’s in their own best interest

For most of my life, I’d take things super personally. I’d wonder how someone could make certain decisions, even if it hurt me or one of their loved ones. Of course, the reality is some people are just not the greatest. But, in many cases, people are just doing what’s in their best interest. An analogy I like to use here relates to skiing. In skiing, there are three levels: Green (easy), Blue (intermediate), Black (hard).

If you go skiing with a big group of friends, odds are people will be at different levels. If you’re a black level skier, you can’t be disappointed when most of the group who just started skiing doesn’t want to stick with you. I feel as though this can be applied in many aspects of life. Not everyone’s interests, passions, or morals are going to align. You can do your best to surround yourself with people who make you better and lift you up, but you can’t always expect everyone to treat you exactly how you want to be treated or agree to everything that you want.

5. Time is not infinite - some things can wait

When I was still in school, I never missed a homework assignment. Heading into “real work,” this helped me have an extremely great work ethic, but also caused me to miss out on important moments. I’d show up to family functions late because I wanted to get more work done or I’d be on my phone an entire family dinner. In most cases, when I look back, a lot of the things that took me away from the things that matter most could have waited. They could have gotten done the next day or even the next week. You never know how much time you have with the people you love, and you can never get those moments back. Meanwhile, there will always be that next opportunity or ability to get that work done. Live in the moment and never forget what matters most.

Happy New Year!

As we look back on 2023, I hope your year was filled with joy and a lot of great life lessons. Let’s all continue spreading smiles, kindness, and self-love in 2024!

Once again these are superficially positive messages, but reading between the lines gets you "I don't feel secure my girlfriend won't leave me", "I started a business I didn't feel confident in and have repeatedly failed to gain traction" and "I have been repeatedly shunned by people in my life". Speaking of his business, he did a 2023 wrapped. I'm very curious about his methodology in this one.

"Impacting the lives" of over 50 million people but only generating $100k in revenue doesn't seem like particularly good work, but I am interested in how he thinks he's impacted more people than the population of Spain. He also mentions having 5 clients - we knew about Phluid (clothing company), the injection kits and that he worked with CheckIn and that online trans awareness agency. That's one short, which lead me to look closer at this -

They appear to be EZ-Roll Tubes:

This is from the instagram account @ezrollofficial that was active up till August, 4.6k followers with 12 posts -

they were centring themselves around festival culture and their older posts reference things like festival ticket giveaways, but when they actually launched their product they relaunched their instagram as @ezroll_ and this is where Sander seems to have come in. This one's not doing so well, 522 followers with 23 posts and a lot of them are TikTok style videos or obvious Canva templates (and they start cryptically referring to smoking "tobacco, herbs or spices", but they've not purged their old content properly). I think Sander is actually doing a product demonstration in one video, although they've cropped him out of frame

Comments point out that this is not in fact rolling a spliff, merely stuffing a prerolled cone, and that also the cone still looks bad, but they're also pitching it as a mobility aid for people with arthritis or tourette's (which pangs of Sander). So tut-tut, I can see why he'd leave that off his supposedly family friendly brand page. (It is entirely unsurprising that Sander would be drawn to smoking weed at an EDM festival but it doesn't mesh with his desired image).

“Good news guise! I gained weight!”

Gee, never would have thought that Sander was too much of a giant faggot to be able to cope with failure.

His fitness was one of the few things he had going for him. Before he gained four newborn babies worth of weight.

But instead of accepting failure, correctly assigning blame and taking action, Sander reacts like a ten year old getting kicked in the balls. “Hehe.. I totally wanted him to kick me in the balls! Got him!”

He probably learned this from his social failures in school: “Ha! Thank god they didn’t invite me to their birthday party! I really didn’t want to go! Hey Jazz! Guess what?! The Bronsteins didn’t invite me to their party! Isn’t that awesome?!”

Sander is the epitome of arrested development. Instead of living an adult life, with all of what that means in regards to success, challenge and failure, he masks everything as positive. “I didn’t get the job I wanted… Thank god!” “I gained weight! Here’s why that’s a good thing!”

God, he's still gaining like a motherfucker. Look at how tiny his head is in the first pic.
He lost weight
Did he?! I only check this thread sporadically, used to post in the Jazz generals on /tv/. To me it looks like he's in perma-bulk mode and stacking the pounds steadily.

It's eerie how easy it is to imagine him saying this. Verbatim.

He would more likely milk it for sympathy points and blame transphobia. Maybe use it as a launchpad for becoming a paid spokeskike for some faggot charity/foundation.
Yeah, his inner Jew would wake up and swing into action.

He’d take over all his SM accounts, and post relentlessly on them in “her memory”

Not even us, apparently.

Edit: Graduation pictures confirm that Jazz did lose weight.

Fucking yikes.

Let me just start by congratulating Jaron on the weight loss. As a former fat fuck, I am intimately aware of the challenges involved in improving diet, changing eating habits, adopting exercise regimens, and (most importantly) sticking by those best practices in order to maintain optimal health and weight. It can be extremely difficult, but it’s truly the best thing you can do for yourself. I’ll never go back to where I was, but I also know that multitudes don‘t live/persevere to see such success. As a result of my experiences, I reflexively feel a sense of happiness for those who are able to make it/lose weight- even those people I don’t particularly like. So, if Jaron actually put in the work to slim down (and isn’t just lazily taking Ozempic or adopting an eating disorder), I’m very happy for him. Good for you, dude! Keep up the good work!

That being said, he definitely passed better (not that he passed anyway) when he had the weight on him. The extra weight definitely helped cultivate a marginally more androgynous appearance. But, with the slimming comes a reduction in facial fat, which furthermore accentuates his masculine facial structure. Big oof right there. Poor lad is probably avoiding mirrors even more than before.

Also, Griffen is fucking ugly. The trademark Bloshinsky face isn’t much to look at in general, even when it’s skinny. But it‘s thoroughly repulsive when any amount of fat is added. Kid‘s going to grow up to look like Richard Kind at this rate.

The ugg comes from Jeannette's side of the family, not the Bloshinskies. If Greg had had crotch nuggets by a woman at least average on the attractiveness scale, he might have produced OK looking kids.
