The idea that doing nothing is worse then getting involved in what amounts to a third front war with yemen is hilarious. We are stretched thin as is giving all our guns and equipment to the krain and Isreal. Does anybody seriously believe we have a prayer of accomplishing... Anything over there?

At best they will be 8-1. The other two liberal females will almost definitely vote the same way, as we saw in other blatantly unconstitutional but "oh god we really want to give ourselves this power" cases.

How they vote here will signal how they will react if another election fraud case makes its way to them. I would hope that they would see how things have been falling apart and realize that if they don't do the right thing then they will lose anuotomy, but I just don't know. If they rule to keep Trump on the ballot they will likely support the rule of law, but if they let him be taken off the ballots then they will do nothing to stop election fraud.

What they don't get is they're on borrowed time. The second, the literal nanosecond, that the left has accumulated enough ill gotten political capital, they'll immediately stack the court or force some of the right leaning SCOTUS members to resign. Heck if they struggle too long they'll just put a pillow over one of their heads and push until they get a new SCOTUS seat out of it.

It's the most obvious play they have in the mid term. Short term, grab enough power, Mid term, corrupt the courts, Long term, set up a nationwide rigging machine with the courts telling everyone they can eat shit if they don't like it, just vote harder.
