I think he's done that before in previous situations.

Overall I'm just glad this is Chris news that isn't fucked up or depressing.

I think that's not SUPER uncommon in panels and sessions where audience members can have a moment in the spotlight they don't usually get. So much so that I've heard panelists have to say "was there a question in there?" or set out rules ahead of time. I'm guessing it just looks bad to cut off autists by telling them to "get to the point."
