This times a million. I think this also explains the blind support of the T even within the gay community - too many older gays associate T with the old-school HSTS types that you'd sometimes see around gay bars either dealing or discreetly connecting with chasers. Could be clocky, but generally made the effort to pass, and definitely never bitched about chasers because that's how they got laid. (PL: I would have been one of those gays not too long ago.)

The new generation of extremely online Tumblr/Twitter trannies of both sexes is an entirely different phenomenon.

This is less of a Bad History Take and more of a Bad Linear Time Take. They "get their foot in the door" by being in power?

I think the Bad History Take in these type of views is less the idea that the Nazis targeted trans people first but that Nazis "snuck" into power and then went full-on card-carrying Nazi like five years later or something and everyone in Germany was all "oh shit, did not see this coming" and felt like they had screwed up but now there was nothing they could do. It combines a lot of myths that deliberately ignorant people like Kevin all believe to be true, that the Nazis hid their views and goals to get support, that they were elected into power and supported by most voters, that the Weimar Republic was like America and then suddenly over night was authoritarian, that everybody and elsewhere loved Hitler and thought he was the best thing ever, etc.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Kevin barely learns from anything, so he is pretty doomed.

Plus in this case he is of course looking for anything to support his position and shame people.
I doubt he has the conscious self awareness to realize that his only means of convincing others of his position is to shame them.

But he may unconsciously know his position is mostly indefensible.

I mean he is a fucked up childish degenerate who LARPS as a woman and a pervert.

Even a human trafficker can make more compelling mental gymnastics to make themselves feel justified in their actions. They can at least argue they are helping people with a chance at a better life.

The funniest thing is when Kevin gets boned by his very wish: no responsibility. He doesn't want to be responsible for himself, but not being able to have independence means always leaning on someone to drive you places, always relying on outside money, and being limited to what your providers can offer.
