I love how right-wing Americans (especially of the TRS ilk) insist Ukrainians just bend over for muh based Russia, because otherwise they might get fag parades or something. It’s some of the most ignorant shit I’ve ever seen in my life. These are people who are supposedly anti-communist remember, and they completely ignore or downplay the very valid historical grievances Eastern Europe has with Russia.
Sure, some of them are probably getting some kind of kremlin gibs, but mostly they’re just retards.
I understand where they are coming from, I truly do.
Not sure about prominent people like TRS or Fuentes and so on, because their intense support for Russia is indeed suspicious.
But the more normie types simply hate their government and think that the US is doomed, that the US empire is a Jewish creation and has nothing Anglo/white in it, that the whole thing is degenerate and must be destroyed (all the while having ZERO plans to deal with the chaos that will ensue). More center-right people simply want no money to go to Ukraine. "At least Israel kills brown niggers! And they just like us Christians! Yeehaaw!".
Wherever you are on the political spectrum in the US, there's something that you should hate Ukraine for. It's Jewish. It's Slavic so not white. It's not trad and has Pride parades (laughable statement, Russia, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria are the most intolerant European countries towards LGBTQ. Russia has its own degeneracy and elites partying buttneked, but it is true that recently Putin started to clamp down on it all, good for them). It's filled with Nazis and fascist banderites. They're fighting for Victoria Nuland, Biden and Zelensky, not national survival.
It goes on an on, Russia winning the propaganda war with ease.
In the end, you cannot argue with somebody that will tell to your face that it's better to die by Russian missiles than having some blacks and homos. A choice nobody same would make, evidently.
I don't even expect support for Ukraine from people here. I expect a Devon Stack-like, neutral attitude, and decrying the loss of lives.
Also, the narrative that this is happening because East EU is seething against Russia is insane. All we want is to be left alone to choose our path inside our own borders. Needless to say that no country here would ever dream to invade and attack Russia. What happened in Ukraine was basically there was an ethnic conflict between the Ukrainian and Russian populations, not unlike Romanians vs Hungarians in my country. But the Russian minority had Russia to back it up and finance it, provide weapons. Ukrainians wanted to put down this rebellion and attempt at secession, naively so I would say, considering, well, Russia. Then Crimea went away, the war continued at low intensity with nobody really caring, and then shit hit the fan as Russia decided the US is weak enough and that the pandemic showed how impotent and destabilized the West is.
I don't even blame anyone. These situations are common in history. The best you can hope for is to not end up on the losing side. Like Hungary did, for example, losing so much territory as punishment.
