She probably thinks the nurses are like nannies whose job it is to feed and change and bathe the babies when the moms don’t feel like doing it. Again, because she’s lazy and selfish and expects the world to revolve around her. And yeah, the shift change thing is weird. They usually run 7-3, 3-11, 11-7 with report in the first few minutes as the last shift hands off to the next. So 1) it wouldn’t be “exhausting” to ask the nurses to mask if she has a genuine concern and isn’t just doing it to be difficult and 2) if she asked for it the nurse from the last shift should and usually will let the staff from the next shift know about the request. Doesn’t always happen, to be fair, but most of the time they’re pretty good about that stuff.

Feel like they'd just put it on her board "please mask with this patient" or whatever. You'd see that even before COVID, although it was probably for more legitimate medical reasons back then in the beforetimes.

The induction is not being started until 8 PM Pacific time. She isn't likely to even be in labor for a day, they start with gentler methods and move on to the ones that are worse. I don't think she'll make it that long before telling them to knock her out and wake her up when the hairstylist arrives.
