I'm not even sure Viv herself cares about Hazbin or its story anymore, it feels more like she's milking the pilot's popularity to get famous off of shitty gay demon sex while completely phoning in pretty much every aspect of the actual show.
Judging by the transcripts and the leaked summery of episode 3, I fully believe this.
Unironically, this show seems to have some of the worst pacing I've ever seen. Episode 2 has the task of not only needing to follow up on episode one, but introduce not 1, not 2, not even 3, but 4 major characters in Vox, Velvette, Valentino, and Pentious, sure the Vs are a bit of a package deal, but keep in mind these are 22 minute episodes, Hazbin's pilot was longer than that and so are a good amount of HB episodes.

Hell, I'll do a patchwork fix. The only scene Pentious would really be in for a redone Episode 2 is his introduction where he gets his ass kicked by Alastor, this frees up about 5 minutes of time give or take, you use this extra time to focus on the Vs to make them a bit more menacing and the immediate reaction of "Oh shit Extermination day is coming 6 months early!" so there's more tension with that, might not seem like a long time, but it's amazing what a competent director and editor can do with just five more minutes. Then the episode ends with the scene of Vox talking about how he'll place a spy in the Hotel and with a new last second reveal that it's Pentious, so now you got the hook for the next episode.

There, you only really focused on the Vs, introduced Pentious but not properly yet, and kept the main plotline of Heaven moving up their purge chugging along. Sure, it isn't perfect, it could definitely lead to some issues with episode 3, but Viv's the one making a serialized show that's faster paced than your average Saturday morning cartoon.

Ah fuck I missed it

I know, I don't even know why he chose to upload it there instead of directly on the site here.

My conspiracy theory that the only reason Charlie and Vaggie are canon girlfriends is to lock them out of possible straight ships grows stronger.

Angel Dust being turned into a homosexual at the last minute, instead of Vaggie's boyfriend, as originally planned, should have tipped you off.

Fucking hell, she’s going to make them bitter exes isn’t she?
But. . .but. . .muh ace erasure.
I'll also say again that Alastor being "asexual" means jack shit.
Tbh just like real life.
I know this show's been called DoA quite a few times, but it is genuinely dead on arrival, absolutely nobody except for Viv and her most paid off/brainwashed dickriders have any faith left in this show, and even then, I feel her precious broadway stars are gonna ditch her the second this shit finally airs and they can move on.

Brace yourselves lads... The episodes are coming. The immense faggotry and autism that this is gonna sprout will increase hundred fold.
Will it, though? I've been going back and forth on this ever since I started posting in this thread (or even since the pilot came out). I'm still 50/50 on whether or not we have another MLP-level catastrophe on our hands. Can what's left of Tumblr even force-feed this down everyone else's throats? Especially since now you're most likely gonna need an Amazon subscription or something?

Tried to watch the first 5 minutes of it before MEGA cucked me out of transfer quota (probably because of the 20-100 other anons getting their hands on this episode).
But already I felt like the overall animation felt off. The beginning presentation felt a bit choppy and cheap feeling, and I don't know if that's because of how it was recorded or if that's what the episode is like.
The second thing I've got an issue with is that (assuming this isn't elaborated on later) is that the first episode isn't about Charlie setting up her Hotel and meeting up with Alistor like in the pilot. We as a newfound audience are immediately thrown into this episode with the fact that Charlie and Vagie are GFs and Charlie is already trying to manhandle this entire Hotel with her cronies. What the hell? Why would you open up your new show like that when the pilot was already good as a first opening episode to the world building than the exposition dump at the start for this new show?

EDIT: Watching the archive above rn, holy fuck Angel's voice made me recoil in cringe, what the fuck did they do to him?

Vivzies main skill is hand drawn animation. Does she even animate ANYTHING for HB or HH nowadays?

Aaaand the camera movement is even worse in the full version of the song holy shit. The second song is a bit better I think, but happy day in hell spins and shakes so much its genuinely unwatchable at points especially in the latter half

Everyone keeps talking about Vaggie's voice, but Alastor, and Angel Dust sound way more off to me.

As for the first episode, it's not bad, but it is rather meh. The only interesting part is that it looks like the leaks for overall plot might actually be true since a lot of what was said appears to be accurate if the prologue is anything to go by.

Despite mocking him in the past and being a bit of a sailor mouth, Adam's a pretty charming asshole I gotta admin. Probably the most endearing character in this show so far, with a sick song to boot. Overall not a bad episode, but visuals can look pretty rough at times, the VAs like Angel and Vaggie are a downgrade, and it's still weird to just throw us in the first episode with everything from the pilot already established instead of using the pilot as the first episode base.

I mean, we learned a few weeks back Viv doesn’t believe in pilots being cannon, so it only makes sense to repeat material.

It’s probably for people only on Amazon Prime who haven’t seen an almost 5 year old YouTube pilot, but I like to imagine it’s just Viv’s war on pilots.

I still don't understand why people who don't like Hazbin are still going to watch it even though they know their going to hate it.
The asexuals are gonna be pissed if their representative in the show isn't actually asexual and really a closet gay man. Also even as someone who doesn't dislike Viv's work even I couldn't defend that.
