Team Fortress 2 Community - A free-to-play dress up game for grownups, gameplay fully automated! Waiting to be mercy killed...

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Do not plan, or encourage trolling campaigns here. You should not participate in one.
Some faggot on Troonout.chat named Renim is doing an open letter to Valve in a futile attempt to get them to pay attention to a bunch of troons who want War Paint weapons fixed up. It's a Google form you can fill out and sign, so I figure it'd be fun to fuck with these Workslop troonporium niggers by filling out some realistic sounding entries with joke names.

Whoops, I forgot the cardinal rule, don't plan raids lmao
:stress:
My bad! Won't happen again.

Zesty Jesus held a live stream where he had a dialogue with Emporiums a single Emporium (Voice call starts at 1:14:50). He said "Emporium saved my life" (2:23:50).
someone plz archive the VOD here. Can't download it ATM.
Watched the stream and at some point, even the people who also called Zesty a Nazi called the Overlord Lettuce guy a hypocrite and told him to stop talking to him at a point. The guy kept running in circles and despite all of that he barely got into the reason as to why it should be allowed in TF2.

Even the Emporium guys were pissed that he was talking to Zesty so it was a lose/lose for him.

More info from some quick parsing

Oldest entry: (yes that's right, nearly 4 full years....)

Total amount donated: 30,696.69 (this seems high?)
Code:
jq '.[] | .amount' new.json | paste -sd+ | bc
Code:
jq '.[] | .amount' new.json | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr | head -10
   3489 2
    403 40
    367 4
    185 6
     84 10
     58 5
     57 8
     25 3
     21 12
     13 14
16k+ in $40 increments alone. Another 7k from $2. $30k seems correct after all.
Number of donations =4,993 (they're incremental so..)
Number of donators = 1,823
Code:
jq '.[] | .email' 2.json | uniq -c | wc -l
They did a shitty, lossy transfer of their donation database at the start of 2020 (check order_id of records dated Jan 24 2020), so the numbers are incorrect. Here's the breakdown by year:
Pre-transfer$8771.89
2020$6284
2021$5850.41
2022$6217.77
2023$3558.62

Considering they run a total of 257 servers according to TFstats, even if most of them are empty, it still isn't a lot of money. The lockdowns of '20-'22 boosted their income pretty hard, however.

Who, Blackwonder? They're your average shit-heap server group that iirc does way too many fucking servers and tries to game the server browser for more traffic, in a similar vein to Wonderland.tf, Skial and other complete shit-heap community servers. I've had most of the big/"popular" communities blacklisted on my server browser for years. I don't really know anything about Blackwonder's history either.

I'd say nah, don't do a happenings post for this. The emails aren't linked to any known steam accounts so we don't know who any of these whales are unless Google results pop up for any of the hundreds of email addresses in the list that can tie an email to a Steam profile somehow.
Yeah, player ID inside the JSON is some internal thing, it doesn't even correspond to their forum ID number if they have one. You can kind of link them to Steam accounts by display name manually, if they haven't bothered to clear it.

The one funny thing to come from this is the sheer amount of name.surname@gmail.com matches. Even iCloud accounts and school e-mails from Canada and the US. TF2 players really need to learn better OPSEC.

It's over kiwibros... trannydom has finally infected the last bastion of based...
(in actuality, there were like 4-6 people standing in front of it doing the laugh taunt and making 41% jokes in chat)
I wouldn't be surprised if this shitstorm results in Valve not accepting community maps anymore :lit:

It was put in purposely to piss off Zesty Jesus. They were laughing about it on Troonout a month prior to the update:

Frankly someone here should try to sneak this into a map and try to get the map added in a future update:

I remember Stiffy from back in the old FP days. I would always see him participating in the mapping contests and I always liked his worked. He seemed pretty cool at the time. Sucks that he's doing this petty shit now, but I guess that's what happens when you keep hanging around Knockout and the rest of the workshop degenerates.

I as well remember him from those days. Used to see him everywhere. Now he's a faggot troon supporter.

A Mann vs Machine drama video has been released by WeezyTF2. On one side you have a guy with a Youtube channel with over 100,000 subscribers and on the other you have some person who really, really hates cheaters and their "enablers" in MvM. A perhaps indirect reference to Kiwi Farms is made at 38 minutes in but to be honest "sperging" and "lolcow" are becoming more common Internet slang term these days.

On the topic of the Kiwi Fortress server, I would play on it. However, I can totally see troons not only DDoSing but sic'ing aimbots on our precious server, and quite frankly I'm not quite sure how we'd tackle that save for a whitelist. When it comes to ability to waste time on a dress-up game for adults, nobody has as much time as trannies.

The same trannies that ran creators.tf into the ground, Amper Software, just had their TF2 Source 2 project get shut the fuck down the hard way by Valve via a mass DMCA of all the project repos, for redistributing TF2 assets without a license.

naturally they took to their xitter to cope and get sympathetic asspats from a bunch of their fellow trannies, most of whom never even got to try the thing out

boo hoo.

Major lesson to be learned here is to never support something made by Amper Software as they have proven twice now they cannot successfully manage a project to some state of completion or success. They proved it in creators.tf when they let troon shit get in the way of progress, and they proved it here by giving up on it and not telling anyone they had given up on it until the whole thing got DMCA'd and they had to come clean about giving up on it.

Oh yeah, because that's exactly what a dying multiplayer game needs, to have its declining playerbase leeched by a pointless remake made by trannies. No damage done here. I'm not surprised to hear it wasn't even working anyway.

Saw this on TF2 Steam forum.

YOUTUBERS Are The SOURCE of TF2's PROBLEMS
Youtubers are the source of almost all of TF2's problems. Uncle Dane, Shounic, Megascatterbomb, Zesty Jesus, etc. I've done a bit of research into this and there's a lot to get through so strap yourself in.

TF2's Problems and Their Relation to Youtubers
TF2 has a lot of problems, including rampant cheating and bot hosting, scamming, lack of updates, workshop overflow, inflation - just to name a few. But the thing is, when you look at it, the source of almost all of these problems are youtubers.

Bot Crisis and Cheating
Before the bot crisis of around 2019/2020, cheating was not uncommon, but wasn't seen in every match (or almost every match) like it is today. When the bot crisis started and they all invaded the servers, again, it was bearable; you could leave and find another match. It was only when the youtubers started whinging and complaining and (this is the important bit) got everyone else to start whinging and complaining that the bot hosters went "by golly, this is pretty amusing and entertaining, I'm going to host more bots!" and that's exactly what they did.

I honestly cannot understand why its so difficult for you people to see that the reason people host bots is because of the thousands of videos, comments, threads, etc all complaining about it. As soon as their attention dries up, the bots will stop.

But that isn't enough, for I genuinely believe some of the youtubers out there are themselves hosting bots. Either because they too find it amusing, or because they want to get people to use their server and "donate" to keep the server running so they can collect profit.

Scamming
Scamming is a pretty big problem in TF2, especially for newer players finding their way around the TF2 economy. In another thread I spoke about evidence for the owners of scrap.tf and marketplace.tf doing illegal things which I won't repeat, and proposed my theory on how they are potentially the ones behind the fake trade bot scams.

My question then: how come almost all these youtubers are sponsored by these websites? I do not believe for the second they don't know what is going on.

Lack of Updates
Because the youtubers are fueled and benefited by the community's whinging and complaining, and actively encourage it, Valve has understandably grown tired of catering to the ungrateful needs of the TF2 community. Honestly, I can't blame them, almost every update people have hated on Valve when they should be grateful they are even keeping the servers running at all.

Workshop Overflow and Inflation
I've put these two together as they are somewhat linked. Youtubers often have stupid trends related to cosmetics, inflating their prices. But what is more important is the HUGE increase in the price of the crate key. Like when I started it was, idk, 20 refined? Now its like 80 or something.

If you go on backpack.tf you will see every item is being undercut by bots and real traders are practically non-existent. These bots are owned by a small group of people and it would not surprise me if some of the bot's profits went to youtubers as payment for the website's sponsorship. Too bad if you want a hat, prepare to pay ungodly amounts of money because of the million bots flooding the market with inflated prices.

Too Long, Didn't Read
That's a lot of information to inhale, so I've put together a handy dandy infographic poster that summarizes everything for you.
He makes some good points, but mixes them with schizo theories and spergs way too much like with the refined and keys.

His picture. He claims shounic is a bot hoster due to his cheaters vs players video lol.

I also decided to check who megascatter was. And it's the guy who went on ego trip giving ultimatums to cheaters. Apparently they've released a useable build!!!
Look how complicated and intrusive this tutorial is just for a simple html in steam overlay. He actually wants you to create a Steam api key for your account just to be able to do this.
As of uploading, the alpha build only offers basic functionality for marking cheaters, similar to Pazer's TF2BD. The promised functionality of uploading demos to a central server for scanning will be completed by the release of the "Bot Crisis Part 2" video, and conviction of cheaters will start at the release of Part 3.
Can't wait for this shitshow and possibly stolen accounts. Give this guy your Steam api key dude, he's fighting cheaters!

I've been following his channel and this project for a while. While the effort is noble (as noble as making an anticheat for a 15+ year old game is), its basically dead-on-arrival since he decided to make it open-source.
