I was highly sceptical, but looks like this is it, welp. Can't say I feel too bad about it, but it's still insane how American government didn't even try to do anything to save him, despite Ukraine being theoretically an allied country, while, for example, they tried to save that poor dumb dude who tore down the poster of the Dear Leader in North Korea.

I did some maths on the Russia thread.

Russians, and those soldiers, now have one of the highest standards of living in the world.

They are not just winning in Ukraine. Russia has overtaken the EU in quality of life, just outright.

All the banking tricks on the planet can't hide the fact that a 50th percentile Russian can live well, have a family and own property in a city.

As you may see early in the thread, on my old account - I have some issues with certain parts of my brain related to language processing.

If a man with genuine brain damage has a better grasp of economics than you do, then you have a real problem.

Average cost of living is so catastrophically higher for the West that a 50th percentile Russian has a similar purchasing power to a 97th percentile Brit or a 90th percentile German.

This is because our statistical methods are propaganda-based. They add in luxury items and remove living costs to delude the public.

You can, easily, make your own index by including what you consider as a decent quality of life.

If you were to rent a 50m^2 apartment, live healthily with a social life and all your essentials - you would need to be 97th percentile UK, 50th percentile Russian.

Well, I watched some Russian scifi film the other day, and was legit shocked that it had a main male lead, a female romantic interest, and absolutely zero whining about white men being evil or toxic masculinity, or girl boss shit. And it wasn't half bad a film, actually.

So they've got better entertainment than the rest of us, at least.
