If she did forgive him as part of the healing process under the direction of a therapist, it was probably a short exchange and if it went anything like the forgiveness sessions I'm familiar with, she explicitly told him that her forgiveness does NOT mean that what he did was excusable. It just means she's not going to hold it against him. Since he's saying they're cybering, I think she's broken so deeply that thinking she loves him is less painful than admitting what happened.

There is one other possibility.
