It's a total shitshow. We are stretched so thin, that if Iran russia and China decided to declare war right now? They could probably take whatever they wanted locally.

I am by no means an expert, but look at how bad we are man. The only way I would be okay with him being in any sort of power is for that power to be the smallest amount possible, and to have a close eye kept on him where he can be removed at a moment's notice if he starts not following through on his tough talk. But even then, why not just put someone else who has a proven track record in that same spot?

For Americans, Vivek thinks he can become the Huckleberry Finn to Trump's Tom Sawyer, when right now he's just Joe Harper.

For the British, Vivek thinks he can become the Watson to Trump's Holmes, when right now he's just a Baker Street boy.

In summary the statement is that Vivek is a side character who thinks he can become a supporting or main character.

He has a knack for copying Trump's effective rhetoric but can he go further then that and show he is more then just an opportunist exploiting his position as a political outsider?

If it's keeping up the political kayfabe used to try to get votes or getting a technically important six digit paying job with some authority, a lot of people will go after the latter. Pragmatism is is often on the table unless someone holds some animosity over something.

Trump had the right idea with China. They need us more than we need them. The president absolutely could make trade with China so difficult that it would force everyone to rely on other countries, but China would be hurt worse (look at Wu-chan). Yes, there would be growing pains for a while, but it wouldn’t sink us. China is still a third-world country that makes things anyone else in just about any other country outside of Africa can make. They just happen to be big and have a lot of people.

The swamp is in bed with China and has a motivation to make China seem big and scary, just like they do with Russia.
