Because earlier in the show Tay had a meltdown because she thought that Cole had stole her panties because he picked them up while doing laundry (she still thinks he did to this day.) Frank deliberately knew to mess with them because he knew that it would mess her up. To prove how not bothered she was, she willingly gave Frank the panties she was wearing and let him show them off to the camera. He’s doing this to show how little shame she has.

The moment Frank and the gaynniger physically held Shinji and forced the glasses of him all rules regarding those types of confrontations get muddied. Frank also kicked the door of the bathroom really hard, if she were to be standing in a different position that could have ended badly.

yeah he needs to be reigned in too but i think theres a distinction with frank. frank is effectively part of production and i would argue should be trusted not to intentionally hurt someone (at least by production if not us). this differs very importantly from jimmy chimping out or tay threatening him with scissors, in that production cant fully trust them not to attack someone. tay has already punched another contestant for a barely justifiable reason. just like with jimmy, it should be assumed that she will act on threats.

like i said, i still think frank should be reigned it but the problem with him is that stopping him from touching people almost entirely gimps his shtick. although this would be “fair” its not good for content which puts production in a tough spot. ideally they would have a freeloader that doesnt need to touch people but this is jet we’re talking about. also the fish should and are allowed to tussle and shove him back, im just saying that threatening to stab him with scissors is a dangerous escalation.

I think there was a greater sense that you were watching real people in a strange situation during season 1

the gimmick of all of them being fans and that 1970s setting really took the idea of them being real people out of it. They were given the clothes and personas by production and once people caught onto the twist it really gave this untrusting nature to the season, now you don't know whats a bit and whats not. Thats literally a huge reason why Summer was considered another actor giving a performance. Taylor and the others coming in later heightened that notion.

meh, its basic logic 101, literally anyone that has watched competition reality tv will be able to tell you this stuff. IIRC Jet and the wiggers openly said they never watched television especially competition reality shows before starting fish tank. frank hassling people and grabbing them/their stuff is completely within the realm of fishtank and happened last season, so she should be prepared for it. the point is to get back at him within fishtank rules (like vance/lance did by pouring shit on him and pushing him back, thats the game). tay circumvented the game by forcing production to step in and stop frank. as i said in my original post, the game with her is now broken. whats stopping her from grabbing a 2x4 and threatening him until production comes up everytime he fucks with her?
