I’m surprised YouTube didn’t kneel to the pig and give him the full amount he wanted for the subs., because Phil is a special boy and stuff like that usually somehow works out for him. It's not illegal for youtube to operate this way. This is something they are very aware of. This regional pricing is a massive decision for companies. Steam was dealing with this same decision a couple weeks ago.

They aren't going to change it. They are aware people are using as an exploit, and that played a part in their choice to keep regional pricing. They would like for people in Argentina to spend their money on their platform. They won't be spending any money on a membership if it's equivalent to a $50 purchase to someone in the US.

Just saying this is here to stay. Youtube isn't fucking stupid.

I'm sure this was a detractor fucking with Phil, but yes Phil is genuinely upset that his 500 member bomb is only 25 bucks because he already spent all the money he thought he was going to get on hogans.

Well he's mainly upset about the $2000 he thought he had. But now his whales can't just drop another 500 members to fix it. There's no one to accept them.

I'm not sure how the membership queue works. That might also be backed up with the cheap memberships.

Just for comparison, those are the prices of a single membership here in Brazil:

• Standard Supporter: US$1.42/month
• Super Supporter: US$8.10/month
• ULTRA(!) Supporter: US$16.21/month

Of course, this is different from Argentina, but I think it's fair for comparison since it's a neighbouring country with a not-that-great economy as well.

If you think this is unfair for others, you need to put in perspective both countries (US and Brazil) minimum wages:

• US: about US$1,218 per month (source).
• Brazil: about R$ 1.412 per month (source, in portuguese). This is about US$286,02 per month.

There's no way to put the same price in both countries, or people will just not use/buy your product. And this scenario is even worse in Argentina right now.

40 ARS equals 0.049 dollars. Or 5 cents.

5 cents x 500 = $25

So DSP will get somewhere between $15-18 for those 500 memberships.

Agreed. Fuck the 2 hour QnA with Kat cause there's literally nothing more dents can ask, even though the wheelchairs have the tendency to ask the exact same questions to DSP every day for the last 10 plus years. Kats childhood, sister -brazymamo/jenna- cause they're practically estranged, school years, what it was like growing up in Michigan, her current or past jobs, her exes all BANNED TOPICS. Ask her anything about Renton and guaranteed she'll say she loves the food there but is not like east coast mid west food Allah DSP style answers. These 2 literally do nothing 6 days a week -yes kat works but regardless -home 6 days and errands on the 7th, some days DSP even goes out alone on the off days. We've heard about her fave foods, games, consoles etc. If this was a truly ask Kat, we'd get to at least know about her make up but no gotta shut that down. They need to start co op, jump on Xbox game pass and find a 2 player game and entertain US, and not the other way around how DSP thinks.

DSP trying to micromanage how you give money to him has always been one of his worst traits to me. He probably seethes whenever someone buys a membership or superchats him instead of tipping, anything short of handing him a pristine $20 fresh from the ATM is doing it wrong.
