I think Joel or someone did that more offhand. I think after like two or so Drunk Tank episodes Jack refused to go on with Joel because Joel sniffed him out as the weak link in the office and realized he could fuck with him easily.

The RTX fake phone number give away is the easiest example of this. Joel does the perfect fucking joke all because Jack wouldn’t let people sign the wooden fire hazard he made with his dad. Jack then violently overreacts because he thinks Joel’s a retard.

I always loved that Jack went full "tough guy" during it to and came out looking like an emasculated loser.

Even back when RT was good, he was still a lil bitch.

Saw this on r/roosterteeth. Kara looking pretty rough. She's only 34. Looks like she's mid 40s.

Ironically, the subreddit is still half harping on about the analytics that aren't shown as showing the company is in a great spot, better than it's ever been. Some were even claiming that Dog Bark was getting more views now that the cast something something something, I swear RT not only kills content and shows, but also intelligence.

I'm pretty certain RT only exists as a write off company at this point. But, I haven't looked at WB's overall numbers in a while but that is the only thing that I can think of. I'd be okay if the YT side of things dissolved into individual channels. I found that I still enjoy Geoff and Gavin in content; they seem the most unchanged over the years. I don't know if that is a compliment in Geoff's case LOL. Nah, he sounds genuinely content and I'm happy for'm.

Every so often I check up on Rooster Teeth's continued decline (only really knew them for RvB) and based on what I'm reading I'll be surprised if 2024 isn't its final year. Cancelling RTX is one thing, but if I'm not mistaken the RWBY show was their only relevant product and now they've admitted they can't even afford to make it. That's very bleak -- the kind of language that comes out of companies right before they fold.

It wouldn't surprise me if this final RvB season is less of a hail Mary attempt to win back old subscribers and more of a "this is our last chance to do this before WB drops the hammer" thing. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain (so, anyone more intelligent than the average RT fanboy) that the company has been in dire financial straits for a while, and it's only gotten worse in recent months. The remaining founders can probably see the writing on the wall even if they don't want to admit it publicly, so they might have decided to get the band back together one more time before the inevitable. I don't know how the rights situation is with their IPs, but it might make it more complicated if they wanted to do something with RvB after they go under.

The diversity hires are too dumb to realize how tenuous their situation is, and I look forward to a lot of whining about being shitcanned in the months to come.

It's a shame that they weren't shitcanned earlier so others who actually did their jobs could hang onto them.

Wonder how much the company would be worth if someone offered to buy it off WB? I couldn't see it being that much, though obviously more than an honest man could afford.

The video they posted of them tossing fruit is so poetic. They are tossing fruit in the studio 5 lot (I think thats what its called). The 3rd and last location they moved too, that carpark used to be full of staff cars, the building they are tossing fruit towards used to be where RT staff worked. Featured in videos like the great double heist.

Now its just 4 dudes and jack with an iphone tossing fruit.
