I once heard some rare honesty from a Chinese politician who was visiting our country. This was after hours when there were very few people around and most were very drunk. Someone asked him why he worked so hard to get us to admit more Chinese as citizens/permanent residents instead of generous work visas. His reply? It must be stressed how alien transgenderism is to China. In its “queer”, LGBTQ+ form, it’s a highly individualistic ideology that — in its current guise — was born in the US. (This holds more generally for the Western-centric LGBTQ+ blob, whatever else can be said of China’s acceptance (or not) of run of the mill gay people).
