Yaba misinterpreted this post. She went straight for it's not my fault that Chantal might die soon.

After the father of her kids passed away, she talked about not being able to sleep due to thinking about some existential stuff. She kept googling things like where do people go after they die, and was getting half-jokingly annoyed at scientists for not being able to figure it out. It was quite touching, especially for the child-like way she went about it. And yeah, it sounded like a typical start of an undiagnosed depression, but if she says otherwise, I'm not questioning it. I'll always have some feelings for Yaba, because there's been a lot of moments like this. I remember them as well as I remember the stupid shit. There's something going on behind the loud mouth and gangsta attitude.

The only thing semi-deep I've ever heard from Sam is fear nothing and be free, which she slaps on everything - her wrist, her tumblers, her MLM shilling Twitter account... Well done. The rest of her brain capacity is reserved for holding grudges, coming up with a perfect way of ordering Mexican pizza and plotting revenge.

Over the years I've been aware of the two, I haven't heard either of them mention a book they've read. And we get to hear about a lot of what's going on in their lives - frequent trips to stores, which kid doesn't put the dirty plates in a dishwasher, how tall the grass is...
