What is Katy Montgomerie?
Colin Hugh "Katy" Montgomerie (b. 22 March 1989) is a 35-year-old ascended Twitter orbiter, self-described feminist, political cartoonist, and frequent Tranny Sideshows act known for his insufferably smug online personality and brazen manipulation of the English language. Formerly a side character in the TRA extended universe, he has recently risen the ranks to veritable microcelebrity status, boasting a following of nearly 120,000 people on the platform formerly known as Twitter at the time of this thread's writing. As the gender wars rage on and anti-trans sentiment continues to rise, Montgomerie's questionable debate tactics, condescending attitude, and use of bungled metaphors are attracting an increasingly militant online activist population.

An electronic engineer hailing from the city of Bristol, TERF Island, Colin rose to prominence in the COVID era as part of the larger Twitter troonosphere. His level of willful delusion is rarely matched even among the transgender population -- for instance, he genuinely believes that he has changed sex as a result of taking hormones (this is a regular talking point in his tweets): (deleted post | Archive)

He thinks "obsession with trans people should be considered a serious condition" despite having currently racked up 56K posts and counting about trans people -- that's about forty tweets PER DAY: (Link | Archive)

He has a peculiar fixation on becoming a mother to own the Gender Criticals, despite the fact that he's never shown any desire for a romantic relationship since his transition, let alone been in one (better get on that Colin, your biological clock's ticking! -- oh, wait, nevermind): (Archive 1 | 2 | 3)

He tries very hard to convince people that he experiences misogyny just like cis ladies, even though he has the ability to drop the "woman" act whenever he pleases: (Link | Archive)

And he fails to understand how transphobes could possibly see him as a man. (Link | Archive)

Although he contributes very little to the trans movement beyond deranged Twitter posts, Colin's ego is dangerously inflated to the point he apparently considers himself the ultimate authority on other people's thoughts and feelings. (Link | Archive)

For some reason, the British press is more than happy to feed these delusions of grandeur. He's appeared on BBC Radio 2 to discuss trans rights, and in 2023 was nominated for "Greatest Briton" on the allegedly right-leaning GB News: (Link | Archive)

Looking at the few carefully angled photographs of himself he provides on social media, you could be fooled into thinking that he passes relatively well. This is not the case. Here he is whinging about getting clocked and nearly genocided on a true and honest ladies' night by a drunk gentleman at the pub: (Link | Archive)

Being 6 feet tall likely doesn't help matters. (Link | Archive)

Colin occasionally writes longer form articles, which he hosts on his personal website (archive). These typically consist of the same unbearably smug drivel as his tweets, just stretched out a little more. Here's a sample from his latest piece, entitled "No One Actually Believes That Cis Is A Slur, Here's Why They Pretend To": (Link | Archive)
It’s very clear under even the most surface level analysis that none of the arguments they’re saying make any sense or are really worth anyone’s time at all. [...] They can claim that they don’t believe that trans people exist so therefore cis isn’t a concept that exists, but… you know… we do. [...]
We could go into detail about the definition of what truly makes a slur and talk about how they’re used by oppressors against groups without power to further oppress them, and how that obviously doesn’t apply here. We could point out how they haven’t actually offered an alternative word that means “not trans” and if we picked one they’d all be offended at that too. We could even point out how historically all oppressor groups are desperate to portray themselves as the real victims. We could do a lot of things, but it’s all a waste of time because they don’t really believe it. They are wasting your time and controlling the conversation, that is their real goal here. [...]
Another key part of anti-trans activism, and unsurprisingly all anti human rights activism, is trying to frame the conversation as if it’s just two equal opposing sides with an arbitrary disagreement. “Side A’s favourite colour is green and side B’s favourite colour is blue, so who is really to say which side is right? We must treat each view as if it’s morally identical, and anyone not doing that is clearly too irrational to be involved in the discussion. They must just not be able to handle disagreement over their opinions”. This strategy lets them frame trans people and feminists as unreasonable, not playing fairly, or even as the aggressors. [...]
The main reason that transphobes don’t want you saying the word cis is because they want to shut down all discussions about transphobic oppression and talk about how to liberate trans people from it. Could you talk about gay rights if you weren’t allowed to say straight or heterosexual? Could you talk about ending racism if you weren’t even allowed to refer to white people? [...]
DO NOT get bogged down into wasting your time addressing their “arguments” as to why you shouldn’t say cis. They don’t have real arguments, they don’t care, they don’t really believe it. They just want to waste your time and to stop you organising against cis supremacy.

He also has a YouTube channel (Link | Archive) on which he publishes episodes of "#TerfWars", a video podcast series dedicated to the discussion of various happenings within the online trans and gender critical communities. It's largely unremarkable and secondary to his Twitter presence. It also appears to currently be on hiatus, possibly owing to the sheer amount of time he dedicates to wrangling transphobes elsewhere. I have archived an episode here for completeness' sake, in case you're interested in hearing his voice:
From the other videos on this channel, we can infer that Montgomerie's hobbies include such classically feminine pursuits as Mario 64 speedrunning and death metal guitar -- more on that later.

How to be Right About Everything: The Montgomerie Method
"I don’t want to use my platform and reputation to give credibility to some grifter who doesn’t care about being right and just wants attention and to make unjustified claims in front of the greatest number of people possible."
- Colin "Katy" Montgomerie, "Gender Critical Views Are Disgusting: A Justification" (archive)
Hey, reader! Are you a person of gender in need of a circle of asspatters to validate your inflated sense of self-importance, but lack the knowledge/credentials to speak with genuine authority or construct a compelling argument? Would you like to appear smarter than your enemies without ever having to say anything new or insightful? Look no further! Follow this simple three step plan and you, too, can be a high profile influencer with your very own personal army of TRAs.
Step One: Make an "argument" consisting of a shameless personal attack and/or baseless assertion in the hopes that your political opponents take the bait.

Step Two: Search your replies for a take that is either obvious, misinformed, or able to be interpreted in bad faith.

Step Three: Proudly present your catch to your mob of Twitter followers, generalising their perceived retardation to people you disagree with as a whole. Profit, rinse and repeat. (Ignore the fact that anyone possessing a modicum of common sense would likely steer clear of any debate that opens with you calling them one of the "stupidest people alive". If they don't answer then you win by default.)

Montgomerie's repeated use of this formula has earned him a fanbase of thousands of troons, orbiters, and "allies" who seem to care less about being correct than owning le terfs. He's weaponised this audience to retarded ends in the past: (Great job rigging that poll, Colin. Really showed the transphobes who's in charge.)

He occasionally gets caught out attempting these tactics on someone who actually knows what they're talking about, which is entertaining to witness: (Archive)

And, in classic grifter fashion, he has a tendency to accuse people of using his own method regularly. (Link | Archive)

The Montgomerie Method is a tried and tested technique -- but what if simply fishing for bad takes to argue against isn't enough? What if you need to make up new ones entirely? Don't fear, reader: enter "Katy's Shit Cartoons" (@KatysCartoons | archive). Started in 2021, this masterpiece of cultural commentary is Colin's outlet to air his grievances with those wicked Gender Criticals in an easily-shareable visual format. These comics, rendered lovingly with the MSPaint circle tool, provide a fascinating peek into the mind of a trans activist and as such are one of Colin's distinguishing features as a lolcow. (They're also an excellent way to determine which particular thing he's pissed about at any given moment.)
To avoid accidentally engaging his readers' critical thinking skills, Montgomerie is sure to clearly label his characters as either trans (reasonable, logical, level-headed) or GC (hateful, obsessive, misogynistic).
The comics themselves range from unintentionally correct: (Link | Archive)

To borderline nonsensical: (Link | Archive)

To critical of arguments or people that don't actually exist. (Link | Archive)

Actually, mostly that last one.
The Katy's Shit Cartoons account also served as Colin's alt during a brief period in which his main account was suspended. Thankfully for the fate of trans people and Earth as a whole, it was restored in a matter of days. (Link | Archive)

Cow Crossovers
As part of the large and interconnected Twitter trans activist sphere, Colin regularly crosses paths with fellow grifters, some of whom are documented on this very forum, in an attempt to expand his audience. His interactions with other cows tend not to be terribly interesting, but are worth mentioning nevertheless.
Here he is discussing anti-trans ideology with intrepid reporter Anthony "Erin" Reed (and which ideology would that be?): (Link | Archive)

More talk about the terfnazis with cyberlaw expert Alex "Alejandra" Caraballo:

Comparing sharing old photos to posting revenge porn (???): (Link | Archive)

He's on good terms with fellow Britbong troon influencer/raging egomaniac Philosophy Tube. Here they decide that all Gender Criticals must be booted from the healthcare industry immediately, which is a very normal thing to want: (Link | Archive)

These two British men have officially lost all respect for this British man -- how dare he suggest a compromise with those loathsome GCs!: (Link | Archive)

Origins
My hope is that reading this thread has caught you well and truly up to speed with Colin's various antics. Now, only one question remains: how on earth did we get here? Wonder no longer. Thanks to cutting-edge Kiwi science, we have unmasked the man behind the stunning and brave transwomyn you know and love:
Colin Montgomerie was born on 22 March 1989 in the UK town of Wycombe, Buckinghamshire County. A skilled musician, he was involved in Bristol's metal scene in his younger years, playing guitar and bass in a number of local groups -- this would eventually come back to haunt him, as tagged photos on his band Senturia's Facebook page led to the discovery of his true identity. This page has since been set to private, but screenshots thankfully remain:

Comment left by Colin himself on an old photo:

After completing a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering at the University of Southampton, he founded a startup called Playlistful (Facebook | Archive). This was apparently a collaborative playlist service which allowed people to share music at parties. Very handy.
It can be surmised that Colin's transition began sometime in the mid-2010s, but due to his tendency to delete old social media posts, little is known of his early transition beyond traces of information found elsewhere on the Internet. The earliest surviving description of Montgomerie as a "trans woman" is this Hacker News post from May 2017, where he mentions that he "recently had to pick a new first name": (link | archive)

Otherwise, Montgomerie's first big break outside of Twitter appears to have been this Medium fluff piece from 2018, in which he described his experience "coming out" to his coworkers -- his gender journey was already well underway at this point. (Link | Archive)

And that's... all we know. Honest! You can stop reading now.
...
...okay, I think he's gone. Buckle in, folks.

While he may not be as openly depraved as, say, Kevin Gibes or Giggly Goonclown, Colin is certainly no stranger to autogynephilic behaviour. His obsession with motherhood is perhaps one manifestation of this. The real smoking gun, however, was discovered by Twitter user @Artofhunger75 in October of 2023 -- another old Facebook account bearing his name, featuring numerous videos of a suspiciously Colin-like figure playing dress-up with padded bras. As of this thread's writing, the account is still accessible.
The account in question (Archive):

Some of the videos posted to the page. These videos were uploaded in late 2008, which would make Colin 19 years of age. (warning: gross)
The writer of the original Twitter thread (Threadreader archive) points out some more curious details:

If this isn't Colin, then it just so happens to be someone of similar age with the same name, same hair, same build, and same penchant for wearing green venue bracelets! Make of that what you will.
Montgomerie has been made aware of the page's discovery, but it still remains online, suggesting that he may no longer have access to it (and therefore cannot DFE). In typical fashion, he took the opportunity to deny responsibility and remind everyone how hard it is to be a woman on the Internet. (Link | Archive)

All in all, this paints a rather depressing picture of a man with a lifelong fetish who jumped aboard the growing transgender movement to freely indulge in his sexual proclivities. Colour me shocked.

"So who decides what to ban? Isn’t everyone’s speech equally valid? Surely we should just let the strong survive, if you can’t handle the heat then get out of the kitchen? No. This is naive rubbish. All speech is not equally valid."

This is my first OP, please yell at me if I screwed anything up. Thanks to @OttoWest, @FATTESTCUNT 2.0 and @Chandelier for providing some of the screencaps/archives.
