What's your budget for a magnified optic? This discussion of Trijicon battery ACOGs comes at an opportune time. I've felt a TA110, their 3.5x35 led model, on order but I'm having second thoughts. Why not just go with an LPVO and benefit from multiple magnification? That being said, the acog will be lighter and probably tougher than what's in my price range. Not sold either way tbh.
Tactical lever guns are a thing I just don't get. To me, that's like if someone such as Agency Arms took a Ruger Vaquero and customized it similarly to how they do Glocks. Well, kinda. You know what I mean.I just watched TFB's video on the 1854, and I was very excited until I learned they're charging $1200 for the plastic 1854 and $3500 for the nice one.
I think most lever autists will stick with Marlin or Henry.
Are you talking about zeroing the optic and using the subtensions for other known distances?I guess the AC0G needs to be sighted at a certain range and pretty much makes it convenient by making it simpler to pick up and ready to go.
While the LVPO would help with long distance shooting.
When the price starts getting up that high for a stock model I'd opt for spending a bit more and getting the LTT version of it. Those folks really know their stuff.Ok now you got my attention Beretta a beefed up PX4 but jesus fuck you want over 800 for it? Shit down at my local mom and pop they got the original for almost half that at like 439 and even cheaper used in 40 or for that kind of money I can just get one of the new MRO ready M9A3's.
$1500ish dollareedoos, im willing to go up too depending. It's just a base atm. I'm thinking of picking up a sig tango msr and maybe a swampfox trihawk and just seeing which I like running better between lpvo or fixed prism tbhWhat's your budget for a magnified optic?
Personally I think of it as there's honest wear and then there's being careless. Like I don't expect a gun to be perfect and will wear when used but that doesn't mean I'm gonna drag it along a gravel road.Jeebus.
Some folks treat a gun like it's made of glass and paper right up until you actually shoot it.
You could get a Trijicon Credo 1-6 sfp with a nice mount for that price. Similar BDC to the TA110 m193 Acog. Got one over the holidays, but I haven't had the chance to take it out to distance yet.$1500ish dollareedoos, im willing to go up too depending. It's just a base atm. Yeah, something like that. Are you talking about zeroing the optic and using the subtensions for other known distances?
Well yes.Personally I think of it as there's honest wear and then there's being careless. Like I don't expect a gun to be perfect and will wear when used but that doesn't mean I'm gonna drag it along a gravel road.
I can make two recommendations. This one can be had for $1349 right now and EuroOptic will offer free expedited shipping. I have two of them and while they work well, the reticle at lower power is not good. The second one I do not personally own but I've looked through one and I was impressed.$1500ish dollareedoos, im willing to go up too depending. It's just a base atm. I've bought from them, Bud's, Gunbroker, Cheaper Than Dirt, and Oakhill Guns (these guys have excellent prices and selection for CZ pistols and they ship fast). If you have a local FFL that you have a good relationship with, especially if it nets you a lower transfer cost, you will save yourself a lot of money.Do yall ever buy from grabagun.com? or whats yalls thoughts on online firearm retailers?
I was looking at some CZ scorpions, ill check Oakhill guns out too. thanks, manI can make two recommendations. LPVOs are an almost textbook case of "there's always compromises" and "you get what you pay for." Still, I think to noticeably surpass these two scopes one has to pay a lot more and I don't believe the performance gap is particularly large.

BRB, dropping the slide on my PSA thirty times
A Vudu has been on my mind, yeah. I'll look into the other one, I've never heard of it. I suppose it's some European manufacturer?I can make two recommendations. Buy a set of Troy Industries BattleSight backup iron sights. They have M4 and HK style sights. The set will run you about $200ish.so what sort of hell on earth am i in for if i want to get some HK style sights on a rail? am i stuck with those 400 dollar sets built for a 416?

HK416 rail height above bore differs from the typical AR-15. unless you actually have a receiver and rail with HK416 specs in mind, stick with HK-style AR-15 sights and not actual HK416 sights. Centurion, Troy, Samson Mfg, Aero, et c all make a variation of them, some better than others. i prefer the Troy Industries one.Buy a set of Troy Industries BattleSight backup iron sights.
