General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I'll have to concur. I looked into it myself, and I definitely hear the vocal similarities. For anyone who wants to do their own comparison, I found the perfect video for it. Just a heads up; the video is hosted on Bunkr, which is commonly used to host porn, especially Onlyfans leaks and the like, which I believe this video is, but the video in question is not NSFW. Its just a recording of her talking in some kind of roleplay, sound only. I mean, she gets risque towards the end, so use headphones, but nothing too bad. You can listen to it here and compare it with her work as Ember Amane, like her recent Palworld video.
Certainly interesting although I think there were streams of Ember where you could hear people in the background and according to her that would be (extended) family, which would make this a living arrangement quite unsuitable to being a camgirl. Then again she could just be lying and its her SO or something or she moved back in.
Could someone do me a solid and reup the audio only video here? I currently don't have a browser at hand I want to subject to the endless ad redirects that infest that site.

In other news, the Boston Frog from EIEN Project is streaming the companies Lethal Company collab

Reading through what's been posted on Twitter regarding this whole Mafumafu x Rushia situation; something about this STINKS. It's leading me to one of two things here regarding Mafumafu dropping these statements:

1. Being that he's a serial liar, as others have pointed out, he chose to make those statements knowing Mikeneko's entertainment career is beginning to take off as a voice actor while his is beginning to either stall or is declining.

Or...

2. Twitter being filled with insufferable SPERGS are likely jumping the gun here. Assume here he was married, but the Rushia in question is someone else entirely.

Either way, at some point, Mafumafu will have to show indisputable proof he and Rushia/Mikeneko were indeed married and she truly is/was this horrible person he's making her out to be.

Hell, for all we know, maybe he's the one that killed his cat and is trying to pin it on Mikeneko to try and not look like a shithead.

I think its likely going to be one of these situations

Isn't a defamation trial in Japan quite hard to prove or something like that? Or did I mistake it with another country? Interesting that they're already in the trial stage right now
One thing for sure is, as mentioned before, how much did Cover know, and how much did it influence their decision to fire her?

It's really easy. For instance, did you know, in Nipponland you can sued for defamatory statements THAT ARE TRUE???
Even if a published statement is 100% true, it can still be considered defamatory if it irrevocably hurts the subject's reputation and oftentimes the question of truth doesn't really enter the equation. For example, in 2012 a Japanese man discovered that when he put his name into the Google search bar, it autocompleted results that implied he had a criminal record, and this man argued these autocomplete search results were severely damaging his reputation. Some sources strongly implied this man really did have a criminal past, others said that he was innocent. But it didn't really matter either way—the Japanese court ordered Google to remove the autocomplete terms, which they did.
The libel laws in Japan are pure shiet. The honorabu meme is real.

Also Mafumafu's an ugly looking fucker. If he's married so can you.

I dont think either of them are trustworthy or good people but I think the timing is noteworthy here. He chose to drop this right after she debuted as a voice actor in an anime
AND while she is stuck in the hospital, possibly unable to respond immediately.

E: As someone on VA pointed out, Mafu has already been caught in one lie: the urn of cat ashes he mentioned is clearly visible in the background in a stream Mike did in December.

Oh, thats the juicy part:

The rrat going around the 4chan is that this japanese tabloid has photos from Rushia's wedding showing hololive members with their spouses/bfs.
Sounds doubtful, but who knows...

Doesn't that mafumafu guy also have an inverse situation to vtubers in that he has an army of mentally ill simp women interested in him and they all got super angry when it was initially revealed he was in a relationship with Rushia?
Menhera simp whales are a thing for ALL famous men.

Yeah, they made it super easy after some female menhera wrestler offed herself after mean comments from her performance in a reality tv show. After that, her mother who advocated for changes in libel law isn't shy about getting trigger-happy with things that can be loosely considered as libel, going as far as Karen-ing about unrelated anime that deals with online libel and shit like that.

Oh great, we got a Byuu situation now. Everyone involved in this is a retard.

I wonder what percent of Vtubers really are just complete scum. I actually believe it has to be a pretty sizeable percent because abusive psychos are typically the best at playing a character and hiding their true self and personality. You have to be a real crazy cunt to accuse someone you used to love falsely of torturing your cat.
Most JP celebs are unstable ( That includes Seiyuu and V-tubers) because of the weird pressure their culture puts on them yet they have to remain resilient to save face and look non-problematic by East-Asian standards.

That's why many create a persona and masquerade it as their " True self" which ultimately ends up messing up their mental health but fans end up buying because they glamorize them.

Then the French introduced the idea of idol culture to Japan and that resulted in bigwigs starting companies that pander to lonely men, and that's how we ended up here

For anyone curious, if you want to know more about idol culture in Japan you can pretty much date it back to Björn Andresen. The first idol. He's the original "bishonen," once referred as "the most Beautiful Boy in the world." When he came to Japan in the 1970s, it was teenage girl mass hysteria on par with The Beatles. A whole generation of Japanese artists were inspired by him. For example, Riyoko Ikeda was inspired by his beauty and created Lady Oscar in her manga "The Rose of Versailles."

Here's a full documentary in case you want to know more about Björn, now a traumatized old man, and how he looks back at his popularity.
He was originally picked by Luchino Visconti, an extremely influential director who made movies with themes of homosexuality and pedophilia. The most disturbing aspect of the whole ordeal is that Luchino was vigilant in protecting him and his "pure image" from film industry associates who wanted to drug and rape him.
...That is until he was no longer useful to the director.

edit:
tldr: idol culture pays its roots to Japanese people in the 1970s parading around an effigy of a European child actor whose mother committed suicide and was eventually drugged and raped to oblivion by gay pedophiles in the film industry.

What is it with chinks and their desire for their men to look like twinks? Even in regular clothes he looks like a shitty Final Fantasy side character.

Not Pomu has posted some basic idol culture education for all the tourists that followed her the instant she unprivated her account. TL;DR: don't interact with her replies to idols because it spams their notifications and causes her to lose face.

Thank you for overlooking the fact that I have an X account to like those posts.

Speaking of X, neither Selen nor her roommate have deigned to post again yet. She's gonna miss (streaming) the whole APEX x Final Fantasy VII collab.

A tradition that continues to this day with gay pædophiles like Johnny's, a male idol corporation that was founded by a child molester seemingly specifically to find more pretty young boys to molest. The level of covering up in Japan is pretty good, my girlfriend was explaining to me that the Japanese got their news about the scandal mostly from overseas sources. She was following it because she likes Naniwa Danshi.

What is it with Americans and their desire for their women in media to look as ugly as possible? Don't tell me they have a... A.. Different culture?!

I sleep easy now with the knowledge that one of the worst aspects of our entertainment culture was concocted by the French.
