I only learned the true extent about Jet's father last week and felt kind of shitty for dogging on him. Now, after giving us this shit ending after both earning $1 million in revenue last season PLUS the fundraiser PLUS the hiked up prices on the site, I wish this kid's father would roll up to Providence and pull a Marvin Gaye on him.

Okay, not really, but fucking come on, bro. Sam needs to separate his work/art and his need to be a father to retarded, extremely online fags.
Neptune Sr. for season 3

I don't even think it's rose tinted glasses to say this the Willy Wonka ending of season 1 and all the fish slowly walking out as Chris was singing simple kind of man was magical. Like you can't ever beat that.
ive decided to not even compare it to S1. fresh idea and perfect "synchronicity" made it a pretty peerless show. nostalgia will forever bias my view as well.

season 2 was still fun or i wouldnt have been here.

Maybe I have rose-tinted glasses but I don't feel like the highs of season 2 surpassed season 1's and it's lows, which drug out for hours or days, were abysmal. When season 1 ended and everyone walked out the back door I thought, "Huh... now what?" and was kinda sad it was over. With season 2 I've counted the days for 2 weeks and was wanting them to hurry things along but didn't want to tune out since I was curious how they'd attempt to salvage this season and how it'd compare to season 1's save by Sam. Well they never really saved it and it was a boring day. I feel bad for Tay but honestly don't care that she lost, she was deliberately screwed over by production as far as I'm concerned. Brian showed up because Jet liked him and that's literally the only reason he's there which is a great reflection of what Jet is all about.
Agreed whole-heartedly. All Jet thinks about is his Neptunian plotlines while all Sam thinks about is making the most money for the least effort (then being surprised when things turn to shit).

I'll tune in for Season 3 just to see if these retards learn anything from this season, but I'm not holding my breath.

I personally feel that most potential of season two was lost from having a cast composed of MDE fans. Their personalities mostly seemed fake to me and it's why Shinji, despite being an average person was so beloved by the audience because atleast he was a real person who didn't appeal try to appeal to the MDE audience

edit: I think the production outdid themselves compared to season one but season two was worse simply because of the contestants
I disagree. The cast was fine except for Summer and I don't fault anyone for not realizing she's insane.

It was Sam and Jet's absolute failure to play to the strengths of the cast. The neptunian methodology is to lean heavily on the primary fish in the moment until they break under pressure, then try to salvage the situation terribly. I'd love for Jet to go talk about all the amazing directing he did this season as director of the show.

TJ: Has a bruised rib. Has gotten his ass kicked multiple times throughout the season. Hilariously uncoordinated.
Shinji: Is the only fish with any kind of formal martial arts training. Did the best at boxing out of all the fish.
Retards: "REEEEEEEE the wiggers clearly rigged this in favor of TJ!"
The funny thing is that this was supposed to be rigged in Shinji's favor, but it blew up in the wiggers' faces. Now the person they didn't want to win, a horse/incest porn connoisseur, is the winner and there's nothing they can do about it.

much like Jet, TJ is a retard that failed upwards. he started as a mushbrained coomer, stumbled through everything, including his entire arc only by being handheld by Sam, Production, TTS (also sometimes production). he never took initiative or made a decision, even with Taylor he was pushed into kicking her off, the boxing was prodded on by Sam, betraying Tayleigh by TTS. he's a Forrest Gump like simpleton (but charmless) and did nothing for a majority of the show until literally today where he was the best at eating snails. and in the end, his victory came from a severely malnourished, sleep deprived, and cigarette addicted jap giving himself a heatstroke

truly and honestly neptunian, in thr most embarassing ways possible
We've disagreed in this thread but very, very good summary :)

I mean, don't get me wrong, I can nitpick all of their performances and the specific types of challenges chosen for the finally, but in reality, he just did better. I think, on the final day, he actually worked for the win. The frustration for most people is that season, in general, was rigged for TJ. The issue is that he had to be handheld to this point. The dude literally could not form a single individual thought without help. I don't think he deserved to get as far as he got. However, I'm not going to take away that he started this day with the set-back of having no chips and only a 2 point lead and still making it to the end.

they roofied Shinji with the stuff they had left over from raping Summer

The majority of season 1's cast either knew of Sam or were outright fanboys like Sylvia and Vance. In Fact the people who knew nothing of Sam and MDE were largely uninteresting people like Mauro and Simmons.

Season 1 really was lightning in a bottle, I was more forgiving of its jankiness because it was the first time they were doing this but it's become abundantly clear to me that season 1 succeeded in spite of Jet, not because of him and nothing will change unless Sam gets someone else to run the show, which is not going to happen therefore I expect next season to be even more of a shitshow.

The brotherhood end probably wasn't the worst way things could've ended, at least if Shinji didn't look like he was knocking at death's door; doesn't help that it caused the ending to get rushed as fuck. Hoping he turns out fine, definitely gonna follow his platforms since he 100% has the charisma to be a content creator.

We'll see where things go from here; between the FishBNB bookings opening at nearly the end of the show, and the mentions of mini-events like poker/cell, it does seem like the next bit might not necessarily take another six months. Nevertheless, hopefully they make Jet take more of a backseat in the future, because a lot of the faults can easily be attributed to creative direction and production just not bothering to plan in advance, whether the hogtie challenge or days of complete downtime.
