”Oh the world was created by two boring douche gods just so we could have our “brothers Grimm Pun”.”
I find that entire plotline just bizarre.
Start:
"NOOOOOOO! SALEM YOU CAN'T WISH FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE BACK! THAT'S AGAINST THE RULES! WE ARE PUNISHING YOU NOW!"
End:
"We're bringing Ozma back to life"
Like, is it just me, or does that seem weird? Nothing changed their mind on rules or resurrections. That whole plotline was supposed to make Salem look selfish, but she was genuinely wronged for no reason. And then when she actually did something wrong (the war against the Gods), they punished everyone but her.
I never liked that episode even when ignoring the fact that the narrator outright lies at points for no conceivable reason.
”by the way the creator gods come from rip-off wonderland. And some smith goddess made them.” (Killing their mystery in one swoop).
Okay, see, this could work if (assuming RWBY continues as a show) they bring it all back. Let's assume for a moment that the Relic of Destruction doesn't work (and really which of the Relics works as advertised?), how do you kill Salem? By killing the powersource of the Gods - the Tree. No power - No Gods - No immortality.
There's holes to poke there sure, but this could work.
Then again, they might have never considered this and just did that revelation because they could.
“Salem is just an ancient human with a childish tantrum trying too hard to sound smart and edgy.”
I feel like that's an unfair characterization. That fits the Gods more than her.
”The maidens only exists because Ozpin was too retarded to see the consequences of giving OP magic to random young women that might become evil or apathetic anyway”.
This reminds me of something. The Maidens have been confirmed to be weakening Ozpin. Why does he keep them? The doors protecting the relics were made by him (as Maidens didn't exist prior to Ozpin, and Magic users were destroyed by the Dark Brother God), and if he can make it, it is reasonable to assume Salem could too. Ozpin never uses the Maidens, and they seem to serve zero purpose in the story that couldn't be replaced by just making four keys.
”Oh the relics can do some gimmick magic but are useless in the grand shame of things. Objectively worse than if they had been cliche wish granting devices,”
Fuck the relics. I fucking hate how fucking useless they all seem to be. Relic of knowledge lies to you, except when it comes to the villains; Relic of Creation doesn't create anything lasting meaning all it can do is remove the time of construction, Relic of Choice gives you vision
of one random choice you will have to make at a random point in your life, and I'm going to assume the Relic of Destruction doesn't destroy, because why the fuck would it.
