EDIT: I do also agree with LocalAnimeTard, the more embarrasing but genuine times of the 2000s and 2010s were better, mainly cause memes weren't as widespread. Now everything's ironypoisoned and a meme while being milktoast and lukewarm.

When I remember how much I used to blurt out back then, I cringe at myself, but I agree people seemed friendlier in my experience. People were just wearing it all on their sleeve, basically, and not really taking themselves too seriously. If we had just a fraction of that now, a lot of drama could be avoided (and ofc there was drama then too, but the social norms for casual convos were quite silly and fun.)

I stopped following the Chuggaconroy shit after a couple pages because it wasn't terribly interesting and was obviously a tranny stirring up drama for clout. Is he even a Breadtuber himself by any definition?

More interestingly, corn-suit wearing retard Actualjake of Hugo and Jake (a defunct Youtube show where two fat, unfunny atheists make commentary videos about Christian media. I've got no problems making fun of Christian media, but these guys had no comedy instincts at all) has recently released a video explaining why he no longer makes videos with Hugo (who now goes by "Hannah")

Chuggaa has put out one video-essay and it wasn't even remotely political. Likewise, his only time being political was supporting a BLM riot. Dunno, much about Lady Emily, but they seem to just be some kind of editor.
Not sure why this was put in Breadtube, but it was not my call.

Likewise, I'm not even sure if Hugo and Jake count as Breadtube. Not really video-essayists and only really generic progressives. They crapped on Islam as much as they did Christianity which has probably gotten them banned from Contrapoints/PhilisophyTube land. They aren't even really euphoric atheists either.

Regardless, hyperfocusing on such labels is kinda a waste of time and effort.

Not surprised that Jake is a creepy.

Just for shits and giggles, I chose to check the stats for this subreddit and it seems they've entered a period of stagnation with user engagement falling off a cliff. The new policies have likely driven much of the users away, but I think the general malaise and disappointment between the userbase and the breadtube influencers have likely contributed to this subreddit's decline. It seems the young left is becoming disillusioned.

On another note, /r/shitliberalssay appears to have recovered and now has more subscribers than /r/breadtube.
