"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Some medical articles news hamster may find interesting.

The FDA is fast tracking approval it seems for HRT in children and adults. HRT at this moment is used offlabel and is not FDA approved. They have waived the normal study testing procedures and have asked that children as young as 13 and adults be studied together. They also have decided that early study procedures can be skipped.

The color score on the APGAR is supposedly a form of racial bias since more white babies get a perfect score then "colored" babies.

And finally a cautionary tale of why we should not just assume in medicine. It has been shown that the children who got the earliest form of growth hormone from brains of human cadavers are now getting early onset alzheimer's due to transmission from the cadaver decades later.

Since we never got a "Josh cooks Borscht" stream even tho it was requested many times, I doubt he will loosen his opsec upon returning to the land of troon where they are much more likely to hunt him down. It would be cool but I am not gonna hold my breath for any IRL content. I would like to see a return of the gardening segments personally.
I also hope he shows us a local bakery or two before he leaves. Apparently, the best American cheese isles (which look like a pretty decent selection to me) are gas-station tier in Europe. I’m trying to imagine gas stations with walls of cheese instead of candy bars and chips or a bakery that serves bread so fresh it’ll melt the cheese you spread on it.

Josh here is something to piss off the anime avatars. A Ukranian born woman (aka FILTHY GAIJIN) with 0% Japanese DNA has won Miss Japan 2024.
Same energy

Joshie has been sticking to a gruelling pace of 2 shows a week for all of this month and I have barely had time to watch them, let alone give my thoughts on each episode.

Thankfully I have finally managed to catch up and my thoughts on each respective MATI are listed below:

Tuesday 02/01/24 - Nice show
Friday 05/01/24 ---Nice show
Tuesday 09/01/24 - Nice show
Friday - 12/01/24 --Nice show
Tuesday 16/01/24 --Nice show
Friday - 19/01/24 --Nice show
Tuesday 23/01/24 - Nice show
Friday - 26/01/24 - Nice show
This isn't honest feedback

Friday's stream was smooth from a technical standpoint but he interrupted Superchats twice to revisit content he missed(the Superchats aren't important, my only concern is that it's a capstone to end episodes and some percentage of viewers fuck off from that segment).

Two weeks ago he had several technical problems, including losing all of his superchats for that stream. His frustration and exasperation was funny though.

Give him the good and the bad. Give him the Star Wars Fan treatment.

Much like Simon Peter denying Christ, the State Department has denied knowing Gonzalo Lira.
QUESTION: As you probably know, Gonzalo Lira died in a Ukrainian prison. Do you intend to investigate this case?

And on a side note, Putin didn’t cite any orders claiming that the sale of Alaska was illegitimate, just to clarify.

MR PATEL: Maybe you and Alex can talk after class.

QUESTION: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.

MR PATEL: Hash this out.

I’m not aware of that case. I really would refer to Ukrainian authorities to speak to that.

Ksenija, go ahead.
Video is on the page, jump to 31:55.

Idk about Serbia, but in my Europoor country, if you go to the bakery in the morning you can get all your bread still warm. Even my local Lidl has it's own bakery that puts out buns and bread all day (although I think it's pre-made dough they just pop into the oven) but it's still warm a lot of the time. A lot of people will pre-order their bread/buns from the bakery and pick it up early in the morning. Baker is a very respectable trade because they have to wake up at like 3am to start baking bread. I'm sure bigger US cities have real bakeries like this?

Most US bakeries work like how you described Lidl works, with the exception of warm bread. All bread in the US needs to be packaged and I’ve never seen it warm.

This is because niggers can’t be trusted with unpackaged products. They immediately start licking it or wiping shit on it. White people know to never buy a product that’s had it’s packaging torn in this country.

Yeah I probably wouldn't eat anything unpacked in the US for that reason. 🤢 I remember when there was a trend of people opening ice cream and licking it. Then they had to put a vacuum plastic seal on everything.

You’ll also notice a predominant race in that TikTok trend that has absolutely zero control over their intrusive thoughts.

There are some bakeries that will do fresh bread without bullshit plastic around it, but COVID panic killed a lot of that. The Asian bakeries like 85C and Paris Baguette (common on the west coast) notably went from "pick your bread in the open or open the door a plastic door to grab with tongs" to a "wrap it all in plastic" during COVID, and they haven't switched back. The French and Vietnamese bakeries, it depends. I can tell the French ones hate it, and most just have bread out, but the Vietnamese are torn between their French ancestral training and their bugmen mentality.

The Amish (and Menonites, etc.) across middle America DGAF, their bakeries are still very similar to what you'd find in Europe. If they have outlets in major cities, they'll wrap stuff just to keep their goods from being culturally enriched. But their stands on the farm or nearest town, it's lovely and nearly what one would expect on the continent (or the isles).

But yeah, there is a lot of gross people in the big boxes. I'd never buy something pierced or potentially opened in a Walmart or even a Costco.

Edit to add: As mentioned during the cheese wars, some grocery chains have started doing some upscale cheese and bakery sections. These will have a few items, typically fresh and covered only in brown paper. This will be a limited selection, sometimes including a selection from artisanal local bakers.
A lot of bakeries, even before covid, did the donut shop approach in the US - glass case with fresh goods behind it, but the shop staff have to pull items. This seemed to increase with the coof.
Another option for small batch bakers is farmer's markets, which have become very common. It's tough in the northern climates, so up from around the mason dixon line up, they're seasonal. But they're a good source for quality, local food.

He spoiled the long-awaited Lowtax stream by rushing it because it was a long stream, very sad 😞

I've seen plenty of places that did loaves of warm "French" bread in just a paper wrapper. Still see it warm on those rare times I hit the store when all the other people get there. And still see it in just paper.

I don't know what the rest of the world calls our "French" bread.

Yeah, I see that sometimes too. That’ll also get shrink wrapped once the TikTokers take notice.

I also expect to see fruits and vegetables shrink wrapped eventually as well.
