Litigation Fund

Ever hear the phrase "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" you fucking humongous nigger? Probably not, because you sound like you'd rather let everyone just walk all over you even if you could mount up a formidable defense. Fucking log oot and come back when a verdict is reached. Then and only then you get to bitch, moan, cope and sneed OR gloat and wear a shiteating grin.
He's threadbanned. If you want to debate him about the crowdfunder, he made his own thread for this specific reason.

A lot of "this post might grind your gears" since the very early pages and of course it's the suicidal obnoxious faggot going "waaah waaah you stupid sheep you're wasting money it's a lost cause you can't win waaah".

The reason I think this is more than just a situation of win or lose, and why I donated is this:

Even if our side loses in this fight that will then create legal precedent that will act as a shockwave across the Internet. If the Kiwifarm operates legally but is restricted and that restriction is enforced by a court then other organisations which act as alternative messaging and beliefs on the Internet suddenly find themselves with zero platform security and zero security on the right to community.

Josh has said it before but if this were any other website the actions taken against the farms would make headlines, and so would the legal case being made for its continued existence on the open market just like every other business.

The abuse we've experienced has happened because very rarely has anyone believed the cause was worth fighting for and instead of fighting for their rights they just closed up shop and quit because it was the easier option and the benefits of fighting had no appeal. Setting a line in the sand; that even if the old Internet is going down it will bring financial destitution just like they'd happily to do us is important for making others reconsider shutting down dissenting voices.

There will never be a Kiwifarms again. Websites like ours are a legacy of the past that the corporate interests and censorship has all but wiped out. Why is it worth an attempt to fight for? Because once it's gone it's never coming back. Our hobby of gossiping and non-partisan discussions will never take place; freaks never exposed; lies allowed to be pushed for a narrative.

Sorry if this has been answered in thread - at work rn and I don’t have time to read through it or the highlights, but how long will this be up for? I want to donate but bills and rent were just paid and I’m short for cash atm. I think it should be kept up even if the goal is exceeded IMO (if possible)

I assume it's stalled at $59,999, not letting me donate, coz of the daily limit?

Since a lot of users are in different time-zones, making it hard to keep track of when the funds "midnight" reset is, maybe put a notice somewhere visible, like the front page or thread OP, saying when credit card donos are open, and when it's stalled at the limit?

The less barriers to donation for retards like myself, the more effective fund-raising will be. (personally, I wouldn't cap it at $75k, either. If people are happy to support the site, above $75k, let them)

I wanted to make history by being the 60k break, but it's still capped

Yep, Josh said it'll be up for a while and is a war chest for all litigation, not just the 75k to go against epik.

He said in his stream that it'd be up indefinitely, though he might take the card processor down, so you'd have to do it by money order, check, or crypto.

I've been saving BAT for a few years for the purpose of a T&H badge. I have about 50 BAT to give you which is not enough for the badge but I want to contribute to this landmark event in the swinging back of the pendulum. It's not a lot to give you right now because I'm studying but I will give you more when my new job starts. Looking forward to updates. Uphold is being a gay nigger and wanting things like a picture of my face while it's night time to authenticate the transaction but it will get to you, with some extra when cards are allowed again.

Oh so THAT'S why it suddenly stopped. I'm assuming this also means he can't view it? If that's the case, then I'm not wasting any more braincells responding to him. :story:

Exactly. It's also why I hope Ross Scott gets somewhere with his potential lolsuit against Ubisoft.
