You think your getting a food reaction but he goes into his propaganda. Isn't this the political extremism pipeline everyone was talking about a few years ago? It's okay when they do it.

It's a pleasant surprise to see that Jon didn't just outright drop Emile like everyone expected. Hopefully they all return to TRG but who the fuck knows, it's a guarantee that a new channel isn't going to do nearly as well as anything associated with Emile. I'm at the very least glad to see Jon isn't going to be soullessly purging old collaboration videos.
Alhamdulillah the drama is over. Like with Emile's initial apology, it's a bit underwhelming given the anticipation that had built up and is almost coldly professional. The TRG channel was pretty much dead anyway (no growth, little views relative to subscriber count) but I imagine the real hit will be with live events and charity streams since Chugga was the main draw to those and maybe some people that would have attended previously will want to avoid Jon and Tim for the sake of simplicity and drop out. Maybe we will see more TRG drama in the future to warrant its own thread, but if anyone had any dirt on any Chugga associates, this would probably be the last few days to capitalize on the moment.
Welp, the end of an era. Honestly I’m surprised that Jon’s statement was this cordial. I wonder what Stephen and Mal’s response will be. They were very close to Emile and if I remember correctly he was even Stephen’s best man at their wedding.

I know everyone says it's over, which it is, but only for right now. I think with enough time and a proper response from Emile addressing all this will pretty much have him bounce right back into Let's Playing on his channel. Maybe not for TRG, at least for a very long while, but I've seen comments from around YouTube with actually functioning braincels realizing what a nontroversy this is and that chugga shouldn't be exiled for what he loves doing the most: making videos and talking about the games that he loves.
chugga could come back tomorrow and people would still watch. all the people against him know this is true which is why i feel they went so hard on him. they want to make sure that if/when he does return it is as difficult as possible and he just gives up due to the mental toll of it all.
Stephen has retweeted Jon's statement, so he at least agrees with it in part. Doubt he's going to say anything else.
Oh yeah, I think him stepping away from the internet would've happened regardless because even if this is an absolute nothingburger, this is still a huge shitshow that left him mentally fucked since he's never had to deal with the cancel hatemob in his nearly 16 years of Let's Playing. He really could start a new LP tomorrow like you said, but the real biggest hurdle for him is his mental state and not those against him, which is why he'll be flying out to meet his girlfriend and come back only when he feels like he'll be ready, which by that point everyone should have eased off on him.
At least Jon isn't taking one final swing at him. We all knew he was cutting Emile off, so this really was the best possible outcome all things considered.
