The channel is named "Scared Awake", but the first video isn't scary at all and puts you to sleep. Ironic.
Not bad for a Keffals production, all things considered, but this shit comes like 5 years too late and his voice (which is the only thing of note that would make his channel stand out from literally hundreds of others in the same category) is absolutely detrimental to this kind of content. Script is obviously at least 50% AI-generated or just copy-pasted almost verbatim from other sources, and it shows. Subject is passé almost to a comedic degree. Production value is OK-ish except the sound deparment which is astounding because I've seen Keffs with decent sound recording equipment hundreds of times at this point. Highlight of the show was the little looped animation on what looks more like a handicapped kid learning the controls of a Minecraft rip-off their grandma got him at Walmart than any real life catacomb, let alone the ones underneath Paris. It shows on the background on repeat during half of the video and made me smile every single time. The vaporware / fake 80's aesthetic is nonsensical and absolutely irrelevant to the content or the tone.
Overall score 4 out of 10. I genuinely applaud Keffals for trying to do something outside of his past internet drama and parasocial bullshit, but this isn't going to keep the kittens' or the a-logs' attention for long and it isn't going to attract any normies either.
