Just got a 2tb portable hdd for my new ps4. Now I'll be able to download all the games I got for it from my brother in law that sold me the PlayStation. Funny part is that it's the biggest drive I have that I didn't send back. Feels like unlimited power lol. 2tb is still fucking massive

Can you post how you'd rate it when you've had a chance my Mrs young Cousin wants one.

I've got a couple of 10TB drives I use for backups, and I am considering building a new Nas for myself soon and I have to say Seagae Ironwolfs have been good to me, out of the 10 I bought I've had one fail on me but it was a drive that I wasn't treating kindly it often just got threw into a anti static bag and into my backpack when I was taking files to places to big for online sharing to be viable, or if my mate wanted films / tv shows etc.

The rest have been flawless.

It downloads pretty quick for a HDD actually. Haven't played a game on it yet, but just by the download speed alone, it's rock solid. You get a actual 1.84 tb of storage, which for me, is absolutely mental, because I'm not going to be able to fill it for a decade

Cheers, On amazon UK it's got one of those £5 replacement things on it for 3 years I might just be buying one for the young gentleman in question.

Very cute. Nice and understated. Thank you.

I've bought several more display cabinets for my blind box figurines. The fact that my preferred line is three centimetres higher than the much more common 9 to 12 centimetre lines is causing me endless grief. After this, there is one more cabinet I want to get for smaller random figures like gashapon and plastic and merchandise shit, and that will be enough. I have several larger figures that I do plan to get dedicated display cases for, but for everything else, if it doesn't fit in the boxes, it finds a new home, or doesn't come home with me at all. All my useless little crap will go into these display boxes, and if the boxes are too full to contain new crap, then some of the old crap will have to find a new home.

I'm steadily working to prune and contain my junk. As well as pop culture shit, I also have a very niche interest in old ceramics. Pruning that collection is... really, really difficult. It all fits into one crate with room, however, and I only only add to it two or three times a year. So... yeah. I do have contacts with other collectors, and most of my pieces are from well known studios, so moving them along isn't an issue. I just really, really like them. Not sure what to do there. I've got some favourites out on display, and I'm going to stash the crate back in the spare room and see how I feel in another twelve months.

I bought a curio cabinet for mine and used tier shelving. It also helps as a nice place to hold nanoblocks since they are so damn small and fragile.

A wired Xbox controller butvits the gay as fuck pink lemonade colors. I was on a budget and I'm upgrading to a ps5 (hopefully) when my tax refund comes in

I've got a fucking amazing display cabinet from a old Museum who where modernising and getting rid of a beautiful Beach, glass an brass case set an book shelfs I bought them an put them in storage - they are going into my study in my new place.

I'm on the hunt for a Roll top desk, there are loads going from the 80's an 90's at the moment often free but I want something from the 18/1900's if I can't find one I have a full set of period plans for one, and I am also thinking of building a copy of Augusto Ramelli's book wheel to go with it.

I want to build some other things to go with the wheel so I might build the desk if I can't find one I want or like, I am going to build a long case grandfather clock and telescope, and I want to make a Globe, it's had to explain but I have an idea for one in a really barouge art style.

Mate of mine uses on as a Linux CnC pendant loves them, the wireless ones just lack something but thats for the PS an Xbox offerings and the wired ones are just more comfy in the hand, an don't go missing either, I can recall buying a old Xbox (first one) controller an doing the cable swap an it was an amazing PC controller.

More useless junk that I like and confirms that my lack of a girlfriend is with good reason.

An action figure if Boba Fett as he appeared in the Empire Strikes Back if you didn’t know there’s a costume difference in Return of The Jedi.

And a statue of Bastilla Shan from the video game Knights of The Old Republic (Star Wars with 2nd Edition DnD rules which is amazing)

Try to find a place that sells stuff from estate sales. I've gotten good vintage furniture from them.

I already do! I get a lot of work from buyers an sellers who need parts cloneing from original materials authentic to the period, the problem is a lot of the ones on the market at the moment are reproductions some of them are really good but the details are off and I don't want to add details to a reproduction when I can make a 100% accurate reproduction myself including the hardware and also get exactly what I want - but I love the history of old desks, even if they have been restored they have a certain character an feel you can only get with age.

That sounds incredible. Most of my crap is "affordable vintage" mid century. I'd love some really good pieces, but since there's not a hope in hell that I'll ever own my own home without winning the lottery, I have to balance what I want with what is practical to drag from rental to rental.

Look at Campaign furniture not the 70 - 90's reproductions but the orginal stuff it was made to look like light weight versions of more permanent furniture - they where just designed to be portable / knock down - a lot of people think they are just old wobbly furniture an bin it or sell it for buttons but it's not most of the time the joints have just shrank an you can revitalise it through a good oiling or two and maybe some semi advanced DIY you can learn in a few hours with minimal one time outlay for tools.

Last year I found a folding Chair someone had painted the wood of and replaced the leather with Canvas - It was a Howda / Camp recliner made from burled wall nut I, took the canvas off and the offending paint, got some tanned hide and replicated the canvas as a pattern (it used the original leather as a pattern) and this summer it's coming with me to the beach on family days out, - I paid £5 for the chair - you just need to know what your looking at and what your looking for.

If anyone is interested in this I can write something up for the farms with handy tips an tricks about what to look out for in situations like this. Various minor things you would miss if you didn't know what your looking for sort for details etc. .

Wired keyboard and usb hub.

My laptop's screen is dying and neither replacement nor repair is possible right now. I got a free monitor off of fb, but I can't get the monitor into a position where it's comfortable to type on my laptop. I already use a usb mouse because the wifi in the laptop has a weird long running issue with randomly dropping any mouse I try to hook up to it, and the mouse pad died a few months back. Since the laptop is cheap, it has only only two usb ports, hence the hub.

Long story short, I now have a laptop-shaped desktop computer.

I don't know if Campaign was popular in my country, but I'd definitely be up for a furniture restoration thread.
