Off-Topic Things Troons Have Ruined

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Troons genuinely ruined my taste in men. I used to be into kinda androgynous or nerdy guys, now that troonism is such a plague I go for more macho dudes since they're less likely to troon out on me. :|
The macho type is more likely to be an overcompensating AGP though... No option is ever safe.

Crossdressing. It used to be funny, now it's a political statement.
That and traps in anime/manga.

God, I hate those bloody transvestites. Their only redeeming quality is how often they self-sterilise or join the 41%

Science. It used to be that you could point to mainstream science as the voice of reason. Now you get actual scientists with actual credentials saying that actually, it’s perfectly valid to say that thousands of men have always been women, even though there is no evidence.

Your ability to just talk normal to people in a workplace setting without having to worry about the possibility of ever MiSgEnDeRiNg someone. Had this happen at one point already. Had a client at work who's info on the computer indicated it was a female, but on the phone had the most masculine voice you ever heard, so I assumed it was "her" husband, which wasn't uncommon for a spouse to call instead of the actual client occasionally. That went about how you'd expect.

Novels.
Long argument about the decline in quality of them in general. Some of the recent ones I had read have snuck gender fluid or trans characters in. Yeah that happened in a fantasy that is set in some medieval town.
I would extend this beyond novels and say it's the entirety of the mainstream publishing industry, but especially the sci-fi/fantasy &comic side. Like the film industry, mainstream publishing is a slave to the DEI loans, which is how we end up with hacks like Felker-Martin and Rumfitt making six figure lump-sums from Tor for writing nothing but 300 pages of rape porn.

Indie publishing is not much better. It's also heavily captured by activists, but at least a good common-sense editor or project lead can gatekeep a little easier without the Blackrock/Vanguard/etc cartel overlords pissing and moaning about 'muh diversity'.

Harry Potter.

I thought it was shit anyway, but if you like it you can’t like it in peace without some autistic faggot REEEEEing in your ear about omG tHe eVuL TeRf!!! and waggling their hate boner around.

The whole Jay Kay Rawling being a bigot thing aside, and aside from the fact they were children's books to being with, what I find sad are all the now 40-something year olds who are still obsessed with these books and movies. We've got 45 year olds asking each other "teehee what Hogwarts class would you be put in"?.

It's sad. Yes there were fun little stories which adults didn't feel shame over reading due to the huge popularity, but they were like 20 fucking years ago.

Did Daniel Radcliffe want to remain a boy wizard his entire life? No, after the Harry Potter movies he decided to dress up in leather chaps and sing "she'll be coming round the mountain". He moved on to other more exciting things, so should you.

Friendly and tolerant disagreements between old friends has taken a bad hit.

I have bleeding heart libfem friends (including a pair of lesbians, oddly enough) who are to the bone handmaidens. They deeply believe that trans kids are a real phenomena and that sterilizing and mutilating them is for their own good. Anything less than total tranny support and accommodation is mean and oppressive. Some days it's really tough to take.

Weirdly troons have ruined gendered language in relationships between normal people that have nothing to do with troons. One example is when people call their husband/wife their "partner" to avoid gendered language. "They" and "Their" being used more to refer obviously normal strangers as if their gender is a complete mystery. Maybe I'm reaching but I've noticed the avoidance of gendered becoming more popular.
