It's amazing to me how Greer is able to feel like he's being victimized by the legal process that he started and refuses to stop. Also, I bet the lawyers that he's been cold calling quickly found out about the IOLTA and told Greer they are going to need a bigger retainer then what they would usually offer for a quickie divorce.
A hamster when shocked drinking from a particular water bottle will remember and refuse to drink from it in the future.

Russ is dumber than a hamster.

Just when I think Russ has maxed out on lulz he goes and files another thing. His trauma lumps are big hurt right now. How dare the bullies I'm bullying fight back?!

It's hilarious how Greer keeps trying to get the attention of his big lawyers by emailing them constantly. I bet they just file those messages unread into his file, just in case.

No way is he going to be able to get any money at all raised in 90 days, let alone enough to hire a lawyer. Especially not a lawyer capable of going up against Harden, given the actual facts of this case.

I can't wait for the appeal to the Supreme Court. I know the odds of them taking the case is practically nil, but Russ will explode at the very idea of it. If they do hear the case can he proceed pro se? I'd love to see him bankrupt himself on a lawyer, but I'd also love to see him get ass raped by the Justices. Even the most retarded of them is two standard deviations smarter than Russ, even before you get into their education.

Edit: added words cut off by needing to go through kiwiflare again.

Is 400/hr not more than usual? IIRC the price for some of the Lawyers from the Vic Lasgagna case was something like $200/hr but I barely remember that case and didn't pay that much attention when it was happening. I think of this in terms of 2,040 hours/year worked. 400/hr is $816,000 if you managed to get that rate for all your yearly billable hours.

In general also what is the price scale versus effectiveness of a lawyer? If I hire a lawyer that is 2x as pricey as the cheapest lawyer will the legal services I get be 2x better? Are there diminishing returns for lawyers? I would understand if it varies based on the nature of the case. But in general?
It depends on the practice and the location. My attorney costs more than $400/hr but he's the owner of the practice and it's in a very wealthy area. It's a very broad range. I'd question hiring someone at $200/hr but that's just me.

I'm sure the email from "Matthew Burns" is totally real, just like the character reference letter from Dennis Hof.

Even if said email isn't a fabrication, how is it relevant to the case at hand? Some rando emailing Russhole saying "Null has $150k to pay a big boy lawyer now, suffer in your jocks you pipsqueak" has nothing to do with alleged contributory copyright infringement that happened over 5 years ago.

If the judge doesn't strike it out as inadmissable, then there's no hope for the US legal system.

No. If the Supreme Court takes the case he has to be represented. It's possible if he can prove destitution someone will take it for free just for the street cred of appearing
Agreed, I think he'll get pro-bono simply because there has to be a lawyer out there who wants a SCOTUS case no matter what it is.

Regardless if the email is real or not, there is ZERO evidence that this person is a "Kiwi Farms user" as Russell states in his filing. I'd imagine there are hundreds of lurkers in this thread, not to mention people simply following the case after the media attention it garnered on appeal. He needs to be called out for claiming that every person contacting him is from the Farms.

Quite. If the email is real, it smells more like a Reddit user than a Farmer.

If something has died, that implies that it was alive at some point. Russell, you never HAD a songwriting career to begin with.
I guess this means "She Don't Like Nice Guys" will ever see the light of day, and we won't have the opportunity to enjoy several years' worth of social media teasers for his next blockbuster of a jingle.

I can't wait for his inevitable victory lap if/when SCOTUS refuses to hear the case.

Who do good girls like bad guys? I've been asking this for a real long time.
