It's included in Exhibit A on page 6 of Document 82.Just who the hell is Matthew Burns and why isn't his harrasing email not included? I'm thinking he made it up so he can bring up the fundraiser.
Reddit is where I first discovered Russ, either in r/niceguys or r/cringeanarchy. He's well-known enough on reddit that his name doesn't need to be censored. Plus he's posted his songs and such on there under his own name multiple times, ordering redditors to "make it go viral."Quite. If the email is real, it smells more like a Reddit user than a Farmer.
He's already made big posts declaring total victory over KF at least twice and offering himself up for interviews and TV appearances, then quickly deleting them. I'm sure he'll do it again.I can't wait for his inevitable victory lap if/when SCOTUS refuses to hear the case.
He's planning on it being fully open and operational by summer of this year. From the Greer thread, he is apparently acting like he plans on opening his own brothel

Hardin should file a reply pointing this out and stating that it appears Greer has other priorities he would rather spend his money on than his own legal battle. This "Nightmare" apparently isn't bad enough to stop him from spending money on his brothel business ventures to fund his own case.
Yes. The advantage of a more expensive lawyer is that he is likely to be more knowledgeable, meaning he might bill you less for research and mount a better defense. In a long case the pricy lawyer might end up cheaper. But there’s lawyers like Randazza and Giulianni, who are not only very expensive, but their price does not reflect their competence. They are the sort of lawyers who focus on bleeding you dry before maybe winning your case. Randazza, for example, is currently deliberately sabotaging Nick Rekieta’s defamation case just so he (the laywer) is paid more. Are there diminishing returns for lawyers?
In New York where his lawyers are situated it is (by averages) more or less usual. More than usual if we count only low-experience lawyers (technically the second link is for criminal lawyers, but you get the gist). In Utah, where this case is taking place, that’d be above averageIs 400/hr not more than usual?
Yes, but it is my understanding that he can’t appear in an oral argument (which is good, because they wouldn’t understand him anyway)If they do hear the case can he proceed pro se?
It is:why isn't his harrasing email not included?
Rules of the Supreme Court mention multiple times the ability of a pro se and ifp litigant to be unrepresented. They even have a guide made for these sorts of litigants:No. If the Supreme Court takes the case he has to be represented
Yeah, but he can't do the oral argument pro se, which sort of moots things as any lawyer he gets to do that is going to want to do the rest too.Rules of the Supreme Court mention multiple times the ability of a pro se and ifp litigant to be unrepresented. At least some state bar associations periodically publish economic survey data on hourly rates. I base mine off the median for my geographic area/years of practice. It depends on the practice and the location. My attorney costs more than $400/hr but he's the owner of the practice and it's in a very wealthy area. It's a very broad range. I'd question hiring someone at $200/hr but that's just me.
......what?Let's go felted etc. Just a step off from "yhawnah I'm dumb as hell"
To be completely fair, the number of people off-site who a) know who Null is and are b) willing to mention him in any favorable context isn't known to be high. Given this mystery troll felt emboldened enough to specifically taunt Russell about the fund with an insult specific to his thread history, Russell assuming he's at least a long time lurker here is completely reasonable, if not legally relevant. It's probably the most logical assumption he's made in the last 5 years, since among them we must now include 'not expecting the people you're suing to have money and/or hire a lawyer'.Regardless if the email is real or not, there is ZERO evidence that this person is a "Kiwi Farms user" as Russell states in his filing. I'd imagine there are hundreds of lurkers in this thread, not to mention people simply following the case after the media attention it garnered on appeal.
Oh I have no doubt the individual at least lurks here, that's fairly certain. But claiming that they're a "user" of the site implies that they have an account and are engaged in the thread in some manner. There's no evidence to support this claim. To be completely fair, the number of people off-site who a) know who Null is and are b) willing to mention him in any favorable context isn't known to be high. This Lolcow fund saga has made a bunch of nutjobs go burrrr, it's all terribly exciting.
Because the type of retard who would read here long enough to have cows they follow enough to even be interested in contacting are exactly the type of retard to brag about doing so if they have an account. Posters who do pozload my negholep usually tell on themselves eventually, with the expected consequences (expected by any one who isn't a brand newfag that is).Oh I have no doubt the individual at least lurks here, that's fairly certain.
