Might be able to narrow it down in the '80s, if he mentions Neil Kinnock. He plagiarised a speech by Kinnock, so he'd be very familiar with him.

it's one of the reasons why people hate journoscum. They act like the most entitled people on the planet and throw around "freedom of the press" like it's some "get out of jail free" card where they can do and/or say whatever they want.

I won't give him the credit to say he did this intentionally.. but not answering the question, and then doubling down on barely related senile Biden bullshit, is a valid tactic to get them to stop asking him "hard" questions like that.

They aren't actually going to run anyone Biden dies shortly after the election, harris turns the prezzy job down, but look who's waiting just behind them, Pelosi will "reluctantly" step into the role, and may God forgive us all.
