When I was at uni, this was exactly the sort of thing that passed for humour in the university magazine. Complete with empty last panel to emphasise the lol-so-wacky punchline, as if the characters themselves are blown away by the madness of the situation. The magazine was mostly run by the drama students.

Stephie almost always delivers what Billie thinks is a measured and reasonable response, so she's in a neutral position.

The comics are really dropping in whatever microscopic quality they had. When it's just 2 kids standing in front of each other with walls 'o text, it's hard to make a creative edit....
