- Claiming that Russia originated in 862 with Rurik is a complete fabrication and mythology. That people in 862 were simply a collection of bandits that have no relationship to Russia.
I mean there's no evidence he existed and even if he did, he was just a random Viking warlord from Roslagen in Sweden (hence why they're called "Russians") who set up shop in one part of modern Russia. His alleged descendants were warlords who united a bunch of Slavic tribes into the Kievan Rus and beat out other Viking warlords in the area, but even their own histories state there were plenty of East Slavs who didn't call themselves "Rus'" in that state because they were a bunch of Iron Age tribes. The actual Russian people as an ethnic group didn't arise until the very end of the Kievan Rus as they needed to assert themselves against Catholic outsiders. Rurik is thus a national myth on the level of George Washington chopping down a cherry tree when he was a boy.

Only semi-related but 17 year old Ukrainian basketball talent Volodymyr Yermakov was stabbed to death in a fight between teens in German city Oberhausen. Another Ukrainian 18 years old and two "Germans" 13 and 14 were injured as well.

Main suspect is a 15 year old. He's in custody. Another 14 year old was let go for now.

Apparently the Kiev Basketball Association via the Kiev Independent is trying to frame it as an attack due to their Ukrainianness but it really sounds like they were victims of the diversity they so heartily want for their own country.

I'll update as soon as there's more info.

e: Okay Spiegel is already saying it was 8 Arabs who attacked them lol.

"an expert tells"
Probably expertly watched a cliff-notes youtube regarding the interview from some UA shill.
Well, they actually name-dropped the expert. It's Nile Gardiner, Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom (located in Washington, DC) who is perhaps the most punchable faggot I have even seen.

He has a xitter, go read his hot takes now now now now. His greatest concern right now is pro-Palestine protestors because of course it is.

They have really come out of the woodwork for this one, haven'y they? Everything from the "How do you do, my fellow Nazis?" brigades begging you to save the huwite race to angsty Mormon housewives fretting over the poor hruks on Instagram and now they've let loose the neocon Nerdslingers on Twitter I mean X.

That’s odd… I could have sworn that Putin specifically said in the interview that they have no interest in invading neither Poland nor the Baltic countries?!
Well, for integrity's sake I feel obliged to point out that he also specifically said he was not invading Ukraine after the initial build-up of forces on the border was spotted and attacked on the very next day, so there is that. He "My troops are just passing by"'d so hard I regretted I only have two hands to facepalm with.

Crimea was indeed taken from the Ottomans.
Technically speaking the Ottomans took Crimea from Russia who later took it back. Giving any consideration for Ottomans on this but not Russia is weird. If Ottomans have a claim to Crimea, then surely Russians who had it prior to them would have a bigger claim.

Russians can't legitimately rule anything because Russians do not really exist, Time Magazine said so.

2, Germany will continue to suffer and de-industrializing.
You know the last time the Western powers united in crushing Germany's industries and economy it kind of backfired pretty heavily. And the thing about it is that next time they they get an ultranationalist government, it might ally with Russia rather than attack it.

The US vision for the post-war future of Russia is its dismemberment into small republics as per the plan of the Free Nations of PostRussia organization.
The (((morgenthau plan))) but for Russia. The foreskinless rats never forgot what the Black Hundreds, the pogroms, and the Cossacks did to them.
We on the other hand should never forget what they did to so many innocent children during purim and passover.
You all owe the train autist an apology
Armored train? Is that you?

the Express is pretty much one of the most bottom-tier low-quality rags you can imagine
Is that not all (((msm media))) nowadays?

Different propaganda for different people. Like the Guardian is propaganda and you can dig into a lot of their stories and find its bogus or terribly researched but they'll write in a more high brow style. They provide the articles and talking points for the Progressives to quote or give appropriate arguments from. Whereas the Express is more on the "Loves me NHS. Loves me pies. Hates Putin. Simple As" level.

I suppose you can argue which form of propaganda is the more objectionable, really.

For any non-bongs who are not familiar with it, the Express is pretty much one of the most bottom-tier low-quality rags you can imagine. It's almost physically painful to read for anyone with a brain. And it is massively propagandistic. See also The Indpendent and The Sun.

Ah, so it is like our New York Times.
