Its incredible how a PSX game can make us fight a beloved hero and still not only still keep him engaging but allowing us to save him.

Richter is a beloved character but the game has him as technically one of the villains. They do however make it clear a few times that something has to be wrong with him and the game allows you to explore that possibility and go the extra mile to find out that he is under mind control.
With these sort of stories, it usually tends to turn to how to save them rather than kill them and there is a reason there isnt much variation to that formula because it works. People like seeing their heroes saved by other heroes.
But in this game it feels like they skipped the "save them" part and played killing them 100% straight. And Wonder Woman and Flash do bring up the possibility of freeing them and that maybe part of them are still there but the game itself doesnt do anything with that. It would make sense for W.W to offer the more difficult method of facing the league head off instead of exploiting weaknesses that could kill them.
By the end of it, the league could return, restored to normal, to help with the Brainiac fight.
But no, this would actually feel rewarding and awesome to fight with the JL instead of against them to the death but hey, Im not the millionaire producing this.

If I had my way I would pitch the concept as the following.
Victoria Freeze was born with the condition instead of it being chemically caused. Her parents were middle class so she had to remain away from the sun and inside A.C pumping rooms. She was never able to make friendships because of her gray blueish skin and incapacity of staying outside in a warm day for too long but winter days she is free to roam, like a butterfly. She dedicated herself towards science as a way to make her condition something that she could handle on her own and without her parents needing to worry about her. She eventually made her first suit, which was like an old diving suit with just her red glowing goggles visible inside. She thought people would be impressed but they instead mocked her. She took this as a sign to keep working harder and harder into improving the suit. Eventually she would become one of the finest minds in her field of study, earning her a high paying job. By that point, she developed a suit that made her able to interact with the world around her in a more functional way without sacrificing too much of her appearance. Tho the higher ups were mostly satisfied with just keeping her in her "adapted" office, she was happy from just being "accepted" tho. Eventually she sort of gets herself in a love triangle between the good looking son of the CEO of the company and the janitor that clearly has affection for her but is too nervous to make the first move. Eventually its revealed that the son of the CEO was just using her so he can get credit for her creations and that said creations were going to be used for military purposes. After such betrayal and humiliation, her heart and mind snaps and she decides to show that revenge is a dish best served cold. She creates a stronger version of her suit and makes her freezing ray into a pistol like device. Mrs Freeze was born."

Take this with a grain of salt, but the Batman Arkham Videos channel just released this video detailing an Easter Egg in this game possibly hinting that Batman will actually return in a future game.
You know, assuming that Rocksteady actually continues existing for that long, and the guy was actually correct when it came to decoding the Easter Egg.
Tl;dr: There's a bunch of calendars spread out throughout the game that have a bunch of random dates circled with the final one's date being marked with a bat. When you order all the dates by month, and then convert the days marked by what letter they would correspond to (ie; Feb 5th=E, and shit), you get the message "HE WILL RETURN".
The new cope seems to be that it's not going to be anything like that, but instead is going to be the previously cancelled Damian Wayne game, but to say that's optimistic as hell would be an understatement.

Why would an Arkham game that takes place in the future star Damian, and not him considering that 1) future Batman stuff is his territory, and 2) Damian is suspiciously absent from the Arkhamverse?
I mean, yeah, Bruce, and Talia did a have a thing in this series, and yeah, there's no sign of Terry either outside of the alternative costumes of his you can wear, but unless I missed something, there is no reference to Damian's existence anywhere in any of the games, so why would he be the protagonist of one?
Especially because Terry is basically the combination of Spiderman and Batman in a insanely marketable package with room to grow new villains along with echos of the past.

Game 1: Introduces Damien as the new PC with an older Bruce as his mentor. Maybe plant seeds for future villains. Have a few old rogues such as two-face and riddler while introducing a couple of Beyond characters such as Inque and Derek Powers.
Game 2: More of the same, lean a bit heavier into the beyond asthetic with a time jump. The theme of this game could have been about legacy. With Bruce finally warming up to his son being his heir only for the tragic climax of the game having Damian perish at the hands of Ra's al ghul and Bruce taking up the mantle of Batman to avenge his son.
Game 3: Opens much like the Beyond show does with Bruce giving up on being batman after suffering a heart attack and being forced to use a gun to defend himself after which you start playing as Terry and the game is set fully in the Beyond timeline.

Well, Talia was killed but they did subtly left the door open for her to return through Lazarus Pit or something through an easter egg. Or maybe it was a reference to Ras Al Ghul's easter egg in Arkham Asylum where if you check where his body was in the beginning, it will be empty now.
Eh, its not like I ever liked Talia and Bruce together, always felt too conditional and full of needless temptation and given that Damien was technically born out of rape is something I just cant ever be ok with.

You can tell that this game had a lot of interference from WB. They looked at Fortnite and told Rocksteady; "Make your game like that! It will get the Zoomer and Gen Alpha crowd!" It is funny how WB thought this game was going to sell well. Sega cancelled Hyenas as they saw that live service as a trend was dead and would just be a money sink. It would have been smarter for WB to cancel the game and write it off as a tax right off. Then again WB executives aren't known for their intelligence.

This is the only compilation I could find that has some of her models. Her models look better in Call of Duty and Forspoken, but that's not saying much.
