This.
We didn't want the fucking patriot act and dubya basically created a proto-totalitarian state.
The GOP defended him to the balls and it resulted in us voting in a democrat supermajority, then Obama was promising to roll back and they instead just took control of it and suped it up even more.
When he didn't, the only thing that saved Obama's ass was the GOP running fucking Romney against him in 2012. I view it as deliberately throwing the election.

I find it strange* that so many people have forgotten what an amped-up, breathless time the Bush Jr. administration - particularly the first term - was. In a lot of ways, the mania of the time (OMG BUSHITLER!) prefigured Trump Derangement Syndrome, in both style and volume. In our defense (yes, I fell victim to it) 9/11 really did bring a crashing halt to the soothing, End-of-History, Pax Americana world we'd all been living in, and I don't think we were wrong to be pissed off about the Patriot Act or the invasion of Iraq. Those, though, were definite things we could point to and explain why we thought Bush was the literal Antichrist; Trump just sort of inherited all the shill protest machinery for the crime of having the unmitigated gall to beat Hillary.

That said, the Republican loathing of Obama was entirely prefigured in the Republican hatred of Bill Clinton; years of investigations over the guy lying about getting blown were really, transparently just political theatre. The bitter irony is that Clinton and the Republicans were pretty hand-in-hand about shit like NAFTA that had a lot of destructive effects. Ross Perot was treated as a punchline at the time and is largely forgotten now, but he was absolutely correct that free trade was going to have deeply destructive effects on American manufacturing. The Republicans hated Bill Clinton because of his personal style, not his "third way" economic policies or his adoption of the view that America should be the global hegemon.

* - of course, it's not *actually* strange; there are very clear reasons that many people, on both sides of the culture war, want to conveniently forget the 2000-2008 Bush administration, which is why it has been allowed to fall out of memory.

I couldn't find anything about this on the forum. Thoughts? It seems to cut a big chunk out of assumptions of sovereign immunity.
I think its a good thing to allow citizens to be able to sue the government. the fact the government presumes immunity against malfeasance is pretty gay.

Tangent - in what sense is the Great Replacement supposed to be a "conspiracy theory?" They openly brag and crow about how immigrants are coming in so fast that we will soon be reduced to minority status and will never be able to beat them in elections again. What part of the Great Replacement, exactly, is supposed to be a "conspiracy theory?"
Its a humiliation ritual designed to demoralize and beat down the conquered populace, in this case White Americans. It isn't enough to simply oppress and make Whites suffer, they have to gaslight the population as well out of sadistic pleasure and ever-increasing desires for power.
The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
They always retreat to their academic abstractions, to their circular pilpul, to an engine of falsehoods that is ephemeral as smoke. Reject their artificial constructions and present them with their greatest weakness - true strength. Strength of your conviction, strength of your arm, and the strength of your brotherhood - from these they will flee, because they have no power over you which you do not surrender to their lies.

Another thing I like about internet Nazis is how you always frame things the exact same way the mainstream media does, except you're comfortable saying "faggot," "nigger," and "cuck."

It's because they aren't really nazis, they are people running gay ops, trying to inject that same stupid mentality /pol/ adapted in recent years here.

no American soldier was dying in Ukraine

Didn't the Thug Shaker leaks confirm a number of SpecOps were on the ground "assisting" the UA army and a number of SpecOps NATO people died in a bunch of "accidents" and "heart attacks" at a alarming rate since Feb 2022?

US Supreme Court rules that federal government can be liable under Fair Credit Reporting Act

In a unanimous slip opinion, the US Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) waives sovereign immunity and that the federal government can be liable for incorrect debt reporting that damages credit scores.

Holy based. And it was unanimous? That is pretty shocking given the diversity hire now in the bench, but I guess even broken clocks are right and all that.

That was actually the start of the disconnect between the GOP and their own base that would culminate on MAGA and the revolt against the party in 2016. The people on the ground had a lot of reason to hate Clinton but the GOP kept fucking up and not doing enough, instead wasting time on theater instead of doing what the base wanted.

Conspiracy theory is just a thought terminating cliche meaning "schizobabble disinformation" instead of the formal definition (A theory, that means it can be proven or disproven, in which a group has conspired towards a goal). We have a conspiracy, we have a group of people wanting to do this, it's a conspiracy theory but it can be "tested" (observed by looking at what said conspirators say) and proven. The only question is what the goal is; I'm not going to say but at best it's because lower IQ shitskins are less likely to rebel against living in the pod. The solution is to close the borders, deport outsiders who have no reason to be here, ban dual citizenship, cut welfare baby benefits or incentives, and promote the local ethnicity to marry and reproduce.

I've seen a lot of gay shit in my time, but your bullshit is the gayest.

You're REPENTING of your "Bush Derangement Syndrome"? In other words, you accurately perceived that Bush was evil, but now you're sorry and don't think so anymore. Even though you acknowledged he knew that 9/11 was going to happen (received an FBI memo on his desk in July 2001), Colin Powell lied about the "WMD tubes" at the UN, the Patriot Act is the greatest violation of American civil liberties since World War II ... now you think you fell "victim" to a "derangement syndrome" and none of that is actually real?

Bush recently laughed and cackled about "an unprovoked invasion of Iraq" during one of his public speeches. He enjoys what he did. Even to compare him to Trump is disgusting. How dare you compare the Bush Crime Syndicate to Donald J. Trump the greatest President since Andrew Fucking Jackson?

And that RINO fag from TX Cornyn went after Paxton like the liberal he really is:
MUH RUSSIA!

Given the communist dictatorship that the EU has become, I want to know why the fuck we don't swap from NATO to BRICS already.
At least the Russians and Chinese are fucking open about what they do instead of pretending to be about tolerance and freedom while arresting rape victims for calling out pakistani barbarians who trafficked them on social media.

Cornyn needs to retire and stop running unopposed on the R ticket (that's a big chunk of why he's still in DC).

Fun fact, if you send a letter to his office you'll get one back saying that term limits are unconstitutional and "please no bully meee". Pretty sure he'd send feds to everyone that has the unmitigated gall to tell him they're unhappy with his performance if he could.

Of course, we're talking about Trump, the Father of the Vaccine. So no wonder he's retarded.
How dare you compare the Bush Crime Syndicate to Donald J. Trump the greatest President since Andrew Fucking Jackson?
WTF is this double-speak bait? At least be consistant with your trolling

You misunderstand me, I think, or perhaps I should have been more clear.

I continue to be appalled by the unconstitutional Patriot Act and our use of secret prisons and torture, I still think that our invasion of Iraq is the most evil thing my nation has done during my lifetime, and that Bush and co are war criminals who should be prosecuted and punished.

What I now regard as cringe is the fact that I became a breathless hysterical twerp about it, online and off, more or less continuously for a period of several years.

This period was followed by my enthusiastic support for Barack Obama - who, I firmly believed, was going to right all the wrongs of the vile Bush administration. By 2012 it had become clear to me he was basically A-OK with all the rank shit Bush had done, at which point smoke poured out my ears and several gears and springs came loose from me in comical fashion. I've never quite been the same.

Lol it's cause it's a propagandist, not a troll. Expect a lot of those starting now, it's election season after all.

Few months old accounts / people that rarely if ever posted in A&N are all of a sudden starting to pop up again like clockwork, and all of them are pushing talking points.

The republic was being dismantled before your eyes, and if anything you should be apologizing for not being MORE hysterical.

Well, the basic problem is that hysteria, by itself, achieves absolutely nothing, as anyone who spent time marching around with protest signs and typing in all caps online at the time ought to have learnt.

Outrage is fine, but it's no substitute for effective action.

As an aside, it's also terribly, terribly red-pilling to see so many of your peers, who stood shoulder to shoulder with you during the darkest days, suddenly decide everything's fine and they don't want to talk about it anymore when "our guy" is the one responsible for terrible shit.

Trump is gay, retarded, and vaccinated but still a HELL of a lot better than other US Presidents have been. I'm like Barry Soetoro (who murdered Joan Rivers for exposing Big Mike): I can "walk and chew bubblegum at the same time." Can you?

Thank you. I echo every word. Voted Obama because Bush is evil. Then Obama was just as evil. Then Trump was a slight improvement. Then Biden shit himself.

I'm sorry for calling your post gay. Turns out, the only faggot here is me.
