I listen to a lot of podcasts, mostly comedy improv or a bunch of funny idiots playing tabletop. The reason I bring this up is because these podcasts, similar to Youtubers back in the day, constantly do guest appearances or collab episodes. Now some of them openly talk about what that takes. Sometimes it's as simple as being part of the same corpo network, so it makes sense to guest on other shows within the network. Other times all it takes is guesting on each other's show. These people make enough money on Patreon, their network, and merch that they don't need to spend $200 on a guest or ask for $200 to make a guest appearance.

Lucas is so fucked, he can't even afford to TALK without asking for gimmedats. Che triste.
