Edit: okay I get he's talking about common proverbial expressions not hypothetical situations. I was confused because I tried watching it without the audio.

That's correct. A person with the cognitive hardware to process conditional hypotheticals will say something like, "ha ha, I guess the proverbial saying is not literally correct in this case - funny joke!"

But you'll notice the guy in that video replies with, "stop talking about my mother." He's literally too fucking stupid to even understand the question he's being ask because it invokes a conditional hypothetical

In Ondo state, Nigeria, T.A., the son of a traditionalist, was shot dead while testing the potency of a bulletproof charm placed on him.

T., 27, had come to a native doctor for a charm ahead of a local festival. After being given the "bulletproof" charm, T. asked his friend to shoot him. The end result was that T. died on his way to hospital from a gunshot wound.

According to an eyewitness, "It was unbelievable, because such charms had never failed before." A spokesperson for the state's police force said that T. was an ex-convict and cult member.
