Cybersecurity was very noticable because that career track used to start after a few years of grunt work. (Network/System Admin, help desk, etc.) Now you have XYZ Cybersecurity program where a kid finishes and has never been "hands on keyboard". It's fucking awful.

Cyber security is basically keeping hackers out, that's really all you need to know. If your vmware instance is getting hacked by russians you simply use google to "how to block russian vmware attacks" or the ultimate kinda one size fits all nuclear option is blocking their ip (if you can find it).

There is an overriding kinda thought that there are shortcuts to everything now and not just the scholarly pursuits (which I hear immigrants are far better at anyway.)

You want to be a racecar driver? but you're 30? and you don't have decades of experience starting with go karts or bikes before you knew how to jerk off? It's current year so congrats here's your for-real legit racecar driver helmet and fun stickers and your hip young social media team.

You have some cool new friends into "jam music" like wtf is that I've never heard of that? You take the weekend to "binge" what the Internet has to offer and come back in tye dye and patchouli. You could switch personalities before the onlines but now it can can be done in an afternoon-up to your bughive's quickest amazon delivery.

Imo it could be because people are legally adults and some of them maybe for a very long time but they did nothing to get there or grow up in any way so here we are, everything is just done certified and learnt because in your feels you feel it is. The worst feel ever is being called a poser so we'll outlaw any type of thought around that particular thing.

edit: I'm all over the place with whatver I've trying to say, going to add that some things are definitely for sure because of the internet that they are like this. I know and most of us know that the internet holds information about "surgery" far more than the smartest surgeon ever. Some people think of this concept and think "I ought switch to being a surgeon soon, get this hyundai paid off"

These people did not get history degrees either, they got STEM or business related ones.
the goalposts have been moved again. just like having a college degree(in anything) doesn’t guarantee you a job anymore, neither does getting a generic STEM/business degree. oh, you have a Biology/Business Admin degree? so does every other person who was pushed into college and chose a path with no useful specialization because “STEM degrees make money”

college degrees are pretty much completely devalued now. when the government pumps in seemingly infinite money to make sure even the stupidest person can go to college it even removes the assurance that your degree proves you’re at least not a complete idiot

What are you saying here, that it's impossible to learn new skills as an adult? That if you haven't decided on your career and have been studying it since age 8, or if you don't like what you're doing/studying now you should just kill yourself? Because that's blatantly untrue. Many have decided to change careers and study a completely new subject well into their adult years.

More of a anybody can do what they want/we all have equal abilities/the boys club establishment hates this one trick, taken to an extreme. That's the kinda feeling on lots of things that require effort and ability. If a for-real adult someone all of a sudden went into becoming a surgeon or rocket scientist from a completely unrelated field, they likely were in some high-effort high intelligence field to start with whatever it was. They have medical and sciences friends they consider equals, they know in their mind if they are capable and no one can change that. If they are a 30 year old hr drone/janitor/fast food person it's really just not likely. There are surely geniuses in those particular jobs who have that amount of high effort into a hobby or some other thing in their life but their numbers are probably close to legit gender dysphorics.

E: I've known a handful of people over the years who've went a "surgeon/rocket scientist"type track and looking back these guys were kinda amazing to watch when they're 12 like you and telling you this is their future, and guess what they were right and there was no faking or shortcutting what they did to get there.

The same people who ree'd over the NFTs will do the same here, but that crowd of mainly young men, of all colors, was very pro-Trump. And this is doing more inroads than wearing khakis and rolling up your sleeves to look like what a K-Street lobbyist thinks is a middle class man.

Which hits at what I've been saying, the young straight male vote is very much for Trump and will offset the baby killing pill popping women. It's the only way they could legitimately buy the shitty shoes they covet so much, in a Trump economy. The red ones look ok and at $200 that's about the same price of the other shitty shoes they buy.

Going for the hood rat nigger vote, I see...
Going for? He's straight-up locked it in with kicks like those.
I don't buy expensive shoes and even I want the Golden Sneakers
I feel you. Those are some of the goofiest, most ridiculous, overpriced shoes ever and I want a pair. Is this what nigger brain feels like?

Trump campaign seems to be angling toward them harder this election cycle then ever before. There is also the fact he doesn't really pass up a good personal merchandising opportunity as seen in the mug shot suit sale and the whole NFT card debacle.

If you're someone like Trump and you're going to make a $400 sneaker, you might as well do it in a way that makes Kanye look like a little bitch.

If he can get even a few more percentage points of the black vote he's won the election. high turnout in rural areas (which he always gets) + running up the score in suburban and urban areas is how a republican wins.
