What most people fail to understand is that we live in a post-consequence world where controversy only drives engagement on online platforms. There is no such thing as good or bad publicity, and this especially applies to the case of internet grifters. Every minute that someone views their content is another dollar added to their bank account and another rank up in the algorithm, regardless of how they view his worldview. Vaush is not a political commentator. Hasan is not a political commentator. They are entertainers who display a facade of subscribing to socialist ideals because thats where the money is. Does Vaush not realize that by putting out two hours of new content that he's throwing fuel on a fire? Commentary channels, drama streamers, etc. will literally read out random people's tweets about controversies for Youtube views. Now Vaush has thrown them 2 hours of content to be dissected, analyzed, responded to, reacted to, and monetized. And while I haven't gone through the video yet, I don't think anything in the video will make him look better or deflate the controversy.

I hate to agree with Hasan on anything, but I briefly watched his response to Vaushes Shortstack Goblin Gambit, and he gave the best advice possible:
