If @AssignedEva's speculation about the sort of place he lives in is correct, it's even more hypocritical than his anti-gentrification pose.

Why are Ollie's cheeckbones the most horrifying thing in that announcement thumbnail? Jesus.

Ollie should be forced to live in the country side and commute. Or live in an alleyway between city flats.

That said, he must be making some pretty decent money from his acting gigs these days. The Star Wars one in particular - I don't think anything from that's been revealed yet, but even if it's a relatively small role, we can assume that Disney wouldn't skimp on his fee. So with that extra cash in his pocket - maybe. Just maybe.
I find myself extremely doubtful that he's making any significant money from his actual acting, absolutely not a liveable wage. Hell, when you consider how many projects he creates for himself his acting career likely costs more for him than it earns.

First off, he loses track of his voice, the longer he is in a sentence, the lower it goes, and he just can't wrangle it around 1.30.
He needs to totally stop and start again to get up to a higher register.

Also fuck, look at that lead "actress"
There was a moment where my interest levels vaguely flickered above sub-0, when he said "period drama 18th century".. But for some reason that was a 'bit'? Lol. Way to make the thing sound comparotivlwy way shittier for no reason.
Fuck olly is really really pleased with himself here. Lol that his stars are all ugly fucking bargain bin troons. He's really found his level and scrape though he does, he's never getting out of it.
Fucking wild that Brandon Rogers is there though. He must have some steep cocaine bills to pay.

@transspotter Devon is a male with surface pretensions of theythemism, but not a pooner. He's just nowhere near as hench as the other two bruisers on stage with him. Lot of brawn up there.

I can see why Alice sacked off Alice and went for November. You don't even need to go the effort of Alister - just plain old 'Al' would do, and with plausible deniability.
I'm also interested in his twitter banner picture. I was there at the protest(s) when people had the book riot police bolster shields. They were very useful actually. It was at the 2010 student fees marches. I wonder if he was amongst them or just liked the picture.
Which reminds me of something., actually; It was in the winter and the police all looked like proper 1980s miners strike coppers, with big moustaches, because they were all participating in.... MOVEMBER.
Ain't no escape from the trully linguistly dedicated chud, Alice. Or should I say Moe.

He sure towers over his “gal pals.”

I’m old so I never heard of Slayyyter, here’s a part of her Wiki:

I wonder if dirty thirty Oliver is starting to feel a little long in the tooth with his cringe devotion to these kweer pop chanteuses or whatever.

That is hilariously bad attempt to make the fake freckles.

Edit. Oh god the moobs, I didn't even notice them at the first thanks to the "freckles".

Those expressions. Bruv if you are going to stick your tongue you have to know how to do it because half arsed like that makes you look like Brandon Rogers' favourite words, a retard and a faggot. If you are going to paint freckles, try for a look other than chickenpox next time, I've seen party clowns with more commitment.
K, c u bitch.

He's actually very open about that, in his regular calculated way of course. He complains loudly about actors not being paid well, how hard it is to find well paid work as an 'up and coming actress' and how doing auditions is very time-consuming. I remember a tumblr post where he straight up admitted his acting career has been a huge money sink so far. The problem of course is, where does this money come from? When someone pointed out on his subreddit (lol) that he's very privileged because his Patreon and YouTube stuff allows him to spend an ungodly amount of hours and money (especially hiring a good, expensive agent) on trying to get roles, he got incredibly annoyed. He then refers to his YouTube as a 'side-gig' because he wants to be seen as Abigail the famous trans princess of Hollywood or whatever, rather than just a privileged posh boy who got lucky on YouTube. It's the same mistake Lindsay Ellis made, but Olly is a bit smarter because he only started doing this after transitioning. In fact, that might have been the primary motivation in my view.

He also tries to do this thing that some (mostly BreadTube and adjacent) YouTubers do where they pretend YouTube ad money is not enough for a livable wage, so they need Patreon to supplement that. At the same time though, all the Patreon money is supposedly going back into video production and hiring people. That's why he yells at his fans, because he needs them to think every single Patreon cent goes into video making and he doesn't get any of it. Of course if that's the case, how can he afford the rent on his expensive apartment? Nobody dares ask the question because Olly's defense is just accusing that person of sexism/transphobia/getting too parasocial etc.

He complains about everything though. Complaining on social media about how difficult his life is (despite getting everything he wants) is something he devotes more time and energy to than almost anything else.

He had a supporting role in Django, which in the US would be well paid. It's an Italian production though, so I have no idea how much actors there get paid, definitely less. His voice acting gigs won't be that much.

The Acolyte on the other hand is a huge, expensive production: ~$90,000 average fee for cast and crew, with director/lead actors, etc. getting considerably more, and the person who fetches Choob's coffee considerably less. Olly's in the middle somewhere.

Now, I previously thought that he had a supporting role for that series too, but he's not even mentioned on the IMDb (lol), so who knows? Maybe he was only on set for a day or two, in which case it'll be a few thousand. If he's on a weekly contract then he'll be getting a pretty decent payday out of it.

The fact that it's neither mentioned on his IMDb page, nor on that of the series, makes me wonder if he's been entirely cut from the finished version. I can't find any mention of his character, or his presence on the show anywhere online more recently than November of last year, despite there being plenty of discussion of the series, and Disney recently having made a cast announcement.

I can imagine it's all well and good in the casting stage of a production, getting the diversity quota totted up, but when everything's in the can and it's time for a (different, no nonsense) dept to edit the thing, the absolute clang that olllys appearance into the edit, just doesn't, can not be allowed to, make the cut.

The gap in quality, to put it more politely, between him and any other actor, is badly noticeable in a low stakes, relaxed tempo BBC3 thing.
It's even noticeable on stage, where the incidence of having a big loud over pronounced style can some way be absorbed by the medium and what is required in a theatre - but in proper industry standard TV /movie, there's really nowhere to hide, and random editors are NOT gonna let you potentially get them shouted at when they send a cut through.

The fact he has any screen time in Django at all, reduced though it was, was a total mistake on their part, but also probably happened because it was a much smaller production where he managed to relentlessly schmooze to make everyone there - not warmly like him,- but at least feel too sorry for him to cut completey. It would have been very very awkward after his non stop posting* about being there, which they probably weighed up as a bit of promo for the show, in order to feel like he had paid his way into the edit, so to speak. And then forget the whole sorry outing.

*which he has reigned in. which is totally not done on any set, ever, and he wa probably given a quiet word about from his agent. That makes it harder to cut someone who has any sort of Internet presence, and huffy fans, but also then makes you pretty unhirable if they know that's what you're going to be up to. His agent probably had to do a lot of sucking up and reassuring from that. Lucky he has a timer delete on his social media.

I checked out Slayyyter's performance out of curiosity, and I may be wrong, but I could swear it's possible to hear a drunk/high Choob in the audience, specifically at 0:04 and 1:03. I could be wrong though:

As for the music, it makes perfect sense that Olly would like it given he's a Kim Petras fan. In other words, it fits into his AGP-addled view of womanhood.

Lmfao. You might be right. The first one sounded like any gay, but the 1.03...yeah I hear that.
