I'd say unironic Metallica fans are. They haven't made a single good album since the Black Album (really ...And Justice For All but I will admit there are some gems on the Black album), yet I constantly see journos and other posers raise them for being the best metal band of all time. You know, instead of actually talented metal acts like Sabbath, Rush, UFO, Rainbow, Pantera, Dream Theater, etc. They are the definition of mediocre.

I agree on the Metallica front, that journos and people who either stop right at the gateway of metal or just starting out, tend to overly praise them. I picked Slayer due to how rabid the fans are and how defensive they can be over the band.

It’s Super Bowl time again in America. Only this year it isn’t so much about the game but more about who is watching it. And that ‘who’ that is watching is the billionaire songbird Taylor Swift. She is currently dating Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.

Their much hyped love affair provided the NFL with a bigger audience draw—so I figured things would be rigged to help the Chiefs. It certainly looked suspicious in the AFC championship game with the Chiefs against the Ravens. On paper, Baltimore should have routed Kansas City, but lot of the NFL is looking rigged. The money is too big—of course it’s rigged! Just like our presidential elections are now rigged.



We won’t be watching the Woke Super Bowl, but many Americans will be. The NFL has been playing TWO national anthems for the last two years. We have ONE national anthem for all Americans. Playing two anthems is dividing, not uniting people. The NFL is going along with the political Left’s radical racial agenda of national division.

So enjoy the Taylor Swift Show and the 7 million dollar 30 second commercials.

The key change from C major to D major is brilliant. I don't know if I've ever heard a piece of music jump to its relative key's relative key before. Furthermore, this is the type of song that I think could be a national anthem, and I haven't felt that way about any piece of music that's not intentionally nationalistic or war-related.

The melody here is beautiful.

I always tell people to listen to Red, 1989, and Reputation. Three great pop albums with good songwriting and tight production. These are her best three albums and represent, to me, the best three album run of any artist in the 2010s.

I have never and will never listen to an album of hers but she has had some good songs. I liked "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "22" when those came out.

She reminds me of all the huge female pop megastars that have come before her such as Madonna, Mariah Carey, Rihanna et al. in that they all have some good pop songs but they also put out a lot of shit and gave plenty of reasons to dislike them and their music, yet somehow they managed to become absolutely out of this world successful. Go figure.
