Yeah. I haven't followed this thread for too long, but for all the people saying that Nick's fate is sealed after all his antics, I never really felt that his situation was unsalvageable. All this shit would be a permanent stain on his rep, but if he got sober and it turned out a lot of his degeneracy was primarily alcohol-induced (or, at least, if he could convince enough people of that), then who knows, maybe he'd actually turn it around. While I agree with AnOminous's take on what "rock bottom" realistically is, I think to the degree that there is an objective definition that doesn't vary from person to person, it'd be "The point where things can't get any worse or where there's nowhere to go but up." Which, when you logically think about it, is probably death for everyone... or whatever fate an individual would find worse than death, perhaps.

With the above in mind, I fear Nick's actual bottom -- assuming it would have to be something brought on by his alcoholism, in the context of this conversation -- would probably look like the scenario you alluded to a few posts ago: Nick killing one or more of his kids through drunk driving.
