It's not that hard to wrap your head around if you try AND use real life examples, like cutting wood to length, liquid measurements, that shit. Which do I like better? SAE. It's based on shit you use in daily life. Metric was formed by a soulless committee.

The way you see things in your head changes if you grow up with one or the other. In the UK, the measurement systems are mixed. It's primarily metric, with random Imperial units scattered about. So a pint of milk, or a litre of water. Meat is imperial, cheese is metric.

Even as a kid I remember people always talking how other people thought EU was better. I remember people telling me they wanted to move to the fritzlands because they were more "civilized" and "less fat". I'm happy that someone is also saying America isn't a complete shithole.
