The move was a first step towards the easing of reproductive law in the country.

Poland’s lawmakers voted on Thursday to approve over-the-counter access to the morning-after pill for ages 15 and above in a step to ease the country's strict reproductive law inherited from the previous nationalist conservative government.

The vote in the lower house was the first step in the plans of the new pro-European Union government to loosen the anti-abortion and anti-contraception law, which is among Europe’s toughest.

The lawmakers voted 224-196 in the Sejm with one abstention to liberalise access to the hormonal contraceptive, called ellaOne.

The morning-after pill, which prevents pregnancy, is currently available only by prescription. The previous conservative government, backed by President Andrzej Duda, tightened reproductive laws, drawing major street protests.

Abortion in Poland, a predominantly Roman Catholic country, is legal only when the pregnancy threatens a woman’s health or life, or results from rape. The strict law has had a chilling effect on Poland’s doctors, and has led to a number of deaths of women with troubled pregnancies.

The new contraception regulations still need approval from the Senate, which is expected to grant it, and from Duda.

What's even better and they haven't mentioned this, is that energy drinks have been outlawed for anyone below 18 years old. Want a caffeine shot? Show ID. Had unprotected sex at 15? Here's your morning after pill, enjoy yourselves little rascals

has led to a number of deaths of women with troubled pregnancies

This one is total bullshit. The one time a woman has died wasn't because of pregnancy, because there WAS no pregnancy, the zygote was out of womb (I don't know the technical term for this one). What killed her was sepsis. The doctor fucked up, plain and simple. But the leftie media backed by the US has a very wide reach here.

Over-the-counter sales of the drunk whore pill is not a "reproductive" law, it's a whoring law. Calling it a reproductive law is an insult to women.

The drunk whore pill is not going to help a woman with a troubled pregnancy.

More based part of Polish society is against it. There are concerns about that because this pill wasn't even fucking tested on underage girls.

Young girls, indoctrinated by abortionist whores running orgs like Aborcyjny Dream Team (who admitted to helping women have very late term abortions multiple times, I believe there was attempt to prosecute them) or Dziewuchy Dziewuchom, think it's totally normal now and believe easy access to whore pill is literally their human right. They are often enabled by their fajnopolak mothers.

PiS was full of retards who were trying to change 1993 abortion comprosime (rape, birth defects, risk to mother's life) and every single time they caused uproar when they tried to touch it but it didn't accelerate widespread normalization and acceptance, even a fucking cult and glorification of abortion until TK ruling from 2020. After that obsession of Polish feminists with abortion got accelerated, they just talk about how it's great while glossing over side effects, both physical and mental.

That's what the pill was created for. To create sex with no consequences or commitment for men
All thats created when you use forced pregnancy to punish girls and women are unwanted kids who will learn early how much their parents resent them.

Plan B prevents pregnancy. You'd think prolifers would welcome something that prevents abortions.
