Quick recap of Greg's Indian food mukbang stream.

I’m late tuning in for his stream, but I was still able to catch him when he was eating Indian food. He basically said that Indian food is not terrible, but it is too much for him.

A commenter on his stream called him a lolcow. Greg asked what a lolcow is and looked it up. After realizing what it means, he doesn’t really mind if people see him as a lolcow. As long as people are entertained to see him, that's good enough for him.

Greg admits that he is voluntary celibate.

Greg said that Tay is doing good streaming and gave her props for it. He also admits that he felt jealous of Tay viewers. He wished he could be a woman so he could bring in the simps.

Greg thinks that TJ is a terrible streamer because when he streams, he makes weird faces and doesn’t really engage with his viewers. Greg's impression of TJ:
greg tj impression.png

Greg said that he felt more comfortable around Alex Stein than Sam because he sees him as a respectable man with a political standing and good humor. Greg feels confused around Sam because he doesn’t really know what he’s going to do next.

Talked about wanting to do collab stream with Taylor, Josie, and Vance.

Someone asked Greg about who he was attracted to while in the tank. He said that he was attracted to Bex and Jackie but would never bang them.

As of rn he still streaming, scouring through TikTok. I'm gonna dip though so I can't recap all of it

I disagree, mental issue and medication aside I believe the cast was fantastic. I definitely would have gambled and selected Megan since she seemed like a natural hellraiser. Shinji was fine as well, but if I were casting for S3 I'd refrain from anyone ESL as both seasons it has become an issue. First with Simmons then Shinji being incapable of understanding slang, accents, idioms and vague things that indirectly imply stuff. The only person that has done it well is Tai and his entire gimmick is pretending he doesn't know what is going on with his deadpan delivery of everything. Fishtank has a lot of downtime and it needs strong conversationalist, Shinji was full of great stories and was funny but it was torture trying to listen to him and required you to listen intently. The further you got into the season and the less fish that remained the more this became a problem. TJ was also a serious issue in this regard with his anxiety issues. The final four for S1 could carry conversations at an extremely quick pace compared to the S2 final four.
i wouldnt call them fantastic, but i think s2 cast gets unfairly hated by some. i think their biggest problems were how conflict averse they were. every one of them had to be heavily coxed by staff to do anything to mess with or conflict with other fish. jimmy was probably the only exception. for S3 they need to make sure every fish knows before they get on the show that it is a show and the fish need to make content, they need to scheme and backstab and put in an attitude to win the show.

if i recall didnt sam ask some of the fish at various times if they would be willing to screw over the other fish in order to win, and the fish were very hesitant to say yes? that seems the thing they need to ask and make sure of while screening.

But they weren't. Megan was leaving piss bottles around on day 3, Tay heckled Jimmy so hard during the hogtying challenge that it prompted his first sperg out, Trish got pissed with Cole and scissored his coat. This kind of stuff just wasn't as iconic as the Season 1 crew realizing the best way to win the baby challenge was by making others lose by shaking their babies.

I really think missing the multi-day challenges was part of this. You could see how instantly during milk & rice they needed no time to think of how they could fuck each other over there. But if you think of the disability challenge last season, when Letty had crutches, it took them until the evening to go "what if we disassemble the crutches while she's asleep?" for example. Or when Letty didn't have arms and Damiel didn't have legs she squirreled his wheelchair away.

The challenges this season were too tight most of the time. They were told off for not mashing each other's spaghetti and marshamallow towers but they'd only had 3 minutes or less in the presence of their opponent's tower and no time to discuss whether that would be a good idea. Imagine instead, random challenge idea (unfunny, but just to demonstrate the concept): they all have to stay on all fours and the last one to stand up off their hands and knees wins. After about an hour or so of tolerating it they'd start thinking "hey what if I start throwing everyone's shit on top of the fridge?" for example. But usually they had prod physically in the room or it was made pretty clear the challenge was not meant to go on that long so they wouldn't get to the point of thinking they needed a long-term edge in order to win anything.

Tons of completely fruitless sabotage happened in the first week between Cole and Brian and Trish. Crap just being moved, broken, fussed with, but none of it was "iconic" or interesting because it didn't have any weight in a challenge and was mostly expected. Getting your baby shaken or waking up to disassembled crutches is iconic.

Ninji should have been that moment, they had all night to think of something to fuck over the other team, but Jet was the one to tell him to do it so it sucks all the fun out.

watching Vance stream, about 150 or so average.
Someone asked him what he thought of the Swamp Olympics and he said he would've been okay with any of the fish winning. Vance said he thought Tayleigh would win at the start, and when she took all the chips, and said "if she used them right" he thought she could have won but ultimately the challenges "weren't in her favor."
I really think they all overestimated how hard she would dominate, she was good but she wasn't Superman or anything. The Shinji TJ teamup was orchestrated to take down someone whose strength was endurance and not literal physical strength or speed.

anyone else think it is sad seeing how much they struggle to start streaming careers even after being on fishtank? i just feel that after getting your name out there on fishtank if you are only pulling in low 10s of viewers per stream then the dream is probably dead and you should get an actual job. i honestly dont see most of them being able to sustain themselves as streamers.
The truth of it is Fishtank is too niche of a show to actually launch a real streaming career. I don't think anyone should come into the show expecting some big success after it. It's just not big enough of an audience.

I unfortunately missed the first 30 minutes but Trishles stream tonight actually was pretty hilarious towards the end. Most of the stream (that i watched) was the Melchors having their daily lethal company lets play as Trish wanders about screaming & saying Hello. This time though we got something new: Apparently papa melchor went to a weed dispensary & gave Trish a nug. In between the screams & wandering about Trish was trying to secretly roll a joint lmao (she ended up taking an off camera hit which ended up having extremely funny results later on). After L.C with Trish now baked they (minus Trishes sister) decided to play Skribble-IO. This was basically 30 minutes to a hour of a completely stoned trish realising everyone could easily guess her drawings by just watching her stream so she combatted this by moving her face cam box to cover the information. The problem is being high she never once moved into the correct place lol. She would try to cover the pre selected answers on her go only to keep forgetting it tells her in writing what she needs to draw at the top of the screen. Also someone called “Taymleigh” joined & spent most of the session saying ngga & drawing swastikas.

I’ll have to go back & check out the first 30 mins. Anyones free to quote me correct me etc if they have more info or ive gotten some stuff wrong

Even if Fishtank got millions of viewers daily, I'm pretty sure they'll struggle to launch a streaming career too. Does anyone know what Big Brother winners currently doing let alone know who they are now? Going to a reality show and expecting to be a celebrity is very delusional. The only thing worth going there is the prize

That, and most of them are not entertaining or unique enough to carry a streaming career past the initial hype and curiosity. People get bored and move on quickly. There’s little to no growth potential for most of their channels. I could see Tay becoming like a 1-2k average streamer in the future if she keeps it up but it’s looking pretty grim for the rest.

Cole for me has been one of my biggest disappointments post-Tank. I enjoyed the first two streams he's done along with that ranking, but he seems fairly flaky about maybe having a internet presence (can't say I blame him) but has really come across as spergy. My man is constantly posting and deleting, and mentioned how he thought DBR had good analytical takes. Which is weird because I remember seeing the /r9k/ posts quite a bit on /ftl/ and actually thought he seemed much more charismatic and outgoing on the show. Now I just realized he's just a obvious America First watcher. Kinda sad.

Lol so I guess he's going to be in WP2 then?
(A)
lol for what it's worth, I empathise, that's why I get it
2, Sam really doesn't like seeing old pictures of himself and old content of his that he's not 100% comfortable with blown up like that, it's like the Little Sammy puppet to him, makes him see red - even if it's me who's responsible for having the avvie, BG is the one putting it out there

It's not a surprise to me. I thought it was pretty apparent watching the show that he has a self-sabotaging attitude which is likely why he has no friends. A perfect example was when he was talking to JC about staying in contact post show. He was basically preemptively preparing for rejection. "I don't really use IG", "I might follow you", "I probably won't message you". He obviously wanted to remain in contact but he was basically talking himself out of it happening and likely would not have followed up if JC wasn't so insistent. I imagine Cole has squandered many opportunities.

Idk if its been mentioned (someone can feel free to correct me) but everything has completely evaporated between J.C & Cole since according J.C in the chat of one of Trishes recent streams Cole unfollowed everyone including J.C so she unfollowed him back. Im assuming she thinks hes some loner weirdo now lol

They still managed to fuck with the other's towers in that small time frame though. Duayne pushed over half of the one team's tower when nobody was in the room and Shinji stomped on the other team's tower, but it was designed like a sponge and just merely compacted rather than toppled. Then they got immediately taken to group therapy and berated for not fucking with the other teams towers, when they already did so in such a small timeframe. :story:

A major problem was that most of the male cast was too passive, only Jimmy was willing to go on the offensive, such as when he threw Britney's backpack out the window. TJ would never do anything unless it was safe and the house in full dogpile frenzy, something that got Tay tilted as hell during her dogpile day since he did something to her in the Lounge/Living Room blindspot so she started following him around calling him a pussy. Shinji also only played it safe by doing stuff on dogpile frenzies as well. Cole bailed too early and Brian was the first victim of production coddling TJ when Ben more or less ordered him to return TJ's stolen chips so he would not get eliminated by rent. The women on the other hand were extremely active, JC stealing shit without hesitation, and I don't really see much point in listing out Trish and Tay's huge list of antics, most of which didn't even have lasting consequences, it was just to fuck with people.
