Back of the envelope math on how much this hour and half will cost Rackets.
Assuming $1,000 an hour for Randazza. That 1.5 hours is $1,500. But that is just the START.
We also got to figure the Paralegal(s) time. Assuming Randazza just brings one paralegal at $450 per hour
$675 for the oral arguments
Air Fare (round trip) from Las Vegas to Minneapolis.
And our boy Randazza is not going coach. He's also not gonna force his paralegal to ride coach either!
$1,458
Rental Car from the airport to get around town for a few days. $50 per day, plus fees and insurance and gas, probably comes to around $200 per day. Lets assume 4 days.
$800
3 night stay at the marriot, with a room for Randazza and another room for his paralegal
$1,317
We also don't expect randazza and his paralegal to eat McDonalds like Peasants. Lets assume 50 dollars for breakfast, 100 dollars for Lunch, and 200 dollars per for Dinner, over 3 nights. And this is being charitable. I figure Randazza for the type of guy to order top shelf whiskey and bill his client for it. Rackets will understand this though Anyway,
$1,050
Lets also not forget prep time and research. I expect Randazza will at least bill an entire work day for this, at 12 hours for both him and his paralegal. This IS an appeals court after all! Can't afford to fuck up!
$17,400
And lets not forget the $550 appeals court
filing fee.
So my completely unscientific estimate of the cost of this too rackets is....
$23,292
Or 7.5 trips to Costco for Snacks.
